Anyone following the Gannon Stauch (missing child) story?

Gannon Stauch case: "Hope and despair" remain four weeks after boy's disappearance

The stepmom was the last to see him. I'm going to guess this won't end well. :(

As I said in the thread about the Idaho mother there are 4.5 children killed in this country daily from abuse and neglect.

The step mother's story about taking him shopping and returning home contradicts what the neighbor's surveillance video saw.

Am only going on what I read but I think the step-mom was probably caught off guard by what the surveillance camera saw.

She claims that the camera didn't see him because he came out on the other side of the truck. The interview I saw with her was a little strange. She was asked what she'd say to Gannon if she could and instead of immediately saying "I love you, please come home, I miss you so much," she said she wanted him to come home so he can tell everyone what happened so she could say "I told you so" to the people saying she had something to do with it. Strange. And the "accidental video" she recorded talking to Gannon knocking over a candle is … disturbing. It sounds like he's completely and utterly broken. It seems like she really wanted evidence of something happening to the carpet so no one would be suspicious of it being replaced. Of course, if he was still alive when he got in the truck and never came back, the carpet theory doesn't make sense either. I'm curious to see how things go.

That's pretty quick. I'll bet the evidence is a mountain. If they're going without finding the body, chances are that the evidence indicates that the child is deceased.

The police are saying they believe he's dead. I bet she either caved under interrogation or someone she told about it caved. I wonder about her daughter who, during the interview I watched, just seemed to be parroting what her mom wanted her to say.
