US Metro Homicide Rates

You couldn't pay me enough to live in East Saint Louis.Wild Amish and Morman gangs.Older white women in their 80's robbing and mugging people for bingo money.

I saw an Amish guy riding his horse and carriage across a bridge over I-35, somewhere between KC and Des Moines. Those Missouri Amish are taking over.

Damn, we have more killings in this country than are going on in the middle east. Did anyone DEM or REP ever ask WTF our defense department is not defending our homes instead of other countries???? Please do not tell me AL Qaeda and/or ISIS is going to come into this country and kill us. If you remembered 9/11 Al Queda was trying to kill wall street and Washington. If 9/11 occurred in 2007 instead of 2001, I honestly think this country would have questioned what americans were pissed off enough to blow up AIG or one of the other too big to fail institutions that totally failed us.

I read more ****, yes I said it **** on this forum. it really is not any better than craigslist. OPEN YOUR EYES PEOPLE. THE RICH DON"T GIVE A **** ABOUT YOU OR ME. THEY DON"T GIVE A **** WHETHER YOU ARE REP OR DEM. The rich are not in the REP party and they are not in the DEM party. they are APOLITICAL and use both parties and any and all representatives to do their bidding.

Stop the BS blaming games people. For every F___ed up law and/or policy a REP has sponsored to help the rich, there is a law and/or policy from the DEM that has done the same exact thing.

Stop bickering and blaming parties and start DISCUSSING solutions. Bickering and Blaming is how this country got into this mess.

I understand this country has been doing stupid things for decades in this country and it absolutely has to stop but it will not stop with what we are doing today so this debate will continue for another generation.

PS, the government (YES THE WONDERFUL FEDERAL GOVERNMENT) started the war on poverty in 1964 and has spent over 22T dollars trying to fight it.

Seems like our Federal government doesn't get much right.

Its great. You quickly made stupid and unrelated arguments, THEN just jump right out and admit that your arguments are stupid and unrelated.

A statement is not necessarily an argument.

A statement is not necessarily an argument.
A stupid sytatement is a stupid stament regardless of the lack of attachment to argument. You made a stupid statement completely unrelated to the argument. It pretty clearly defines you in relation to 'arguments'...you dont care about facts...just your ridiculous causes.

Gun violence in the US has literally nothing to do with CEOs. You want to start a thread about CEOs salaries and whine about how small your fiscal dick is and about how unfair life is and how you should get paid more...be mny guest...its been done a million times...its a stupid argument...it shows the complete separation of economic and fiscal reality by the people that make the argument...but again...feel free to make the argument. You want to talk about education...great...but be prepared to have a REAL talk about education and how the leftist dogma and unionscum have essentially turned schools into nothing but failed socialist baby sitting academies that taxpayers are funding and that are causing the cities and states across the country to go broke obligating future generations to pay massive amounts for yesterdays dismal failiures.

But STILL...not the problem.

Now...if you want to have REAL talk about gun violence and the violent homicide rates in the US we can do that too. Hell...you could even throw in a discussion on the rise of violent crimes in the UK, since it is experiencing a very similar phenomenon with many of the same problems impacting the same people.

But you have to be actually willing to have that dialogue. Which means you have to stop saying stupid **** like "Wah...CEOs are rich!" and "WAH....the NRA!!!" and "Wah!!! I hate guns!!!!" and every other idiotic anti gun diatribe that gets spewed here regularly and be willing to address the actual problems.

Ah, so you admit the homicides are the result of gun violence. Well, at least that is a start.

You just hinted at the real problem.

BS!

I've had a dozen or so loads into East St. Louis, and SDET is absolutely correct. Don't get out of your truck until you are on the property of the receiver.

Black drivers also hate going there.

Go to any truckstop and ask for yourself.

:lamo

Clearly you're one of those who only addresses the symptoms of the problem and not the underlying causes. :)

Explain to me why your opinion is of any value here? ;)

And you hinted at racism towards SDET.

Your usual and expected BS.

the underlying cause is blatantly obvious. It's the 69 illegitimacy and lack of strong fathers. If that rate could be cut in half, you would see remarkable gains in education which would lead to better jobs and less poverty.

Right now, the bloods and crips are way too many black youth's male role model.

Wow, the Homicide rate in East St Louis is approaching 1 in 10,000.

Meanwhile, across the river is the city of St Louis. Its murder rate of 60 per 100,000 (about 40% lower lower than ESL) is the highest for large cites. It makes Detroit's rate of 43 look downright peaceful.

From what I could find, only Chester, PA and Camden NJ, 68 and 63 respectively, fall in between the two St Louises for most murders per capita.

Those numbers are staggering.

They need to build some big ass walls around these ****hole places ...

Staggering perhaps, but not surprising in a country where the average worker makes 1% of what his CEO does. Not surprising in a country where the amount spent on prisons exceeds the amount spent on education by very large factors.

Yes. That is it. Making a lower salary makes one more prone to murder people. You figured it out!

I personally think having a gun does that.

For me it was less dollars in my wallet... I can't tell you how many people barely escaped with their lives... as I made more and more money though, these homicidal urges dissipated. I am confident that this holds true for everybody else too...
