It's good to hear that despite her hook with jail administration, she's still being booked and charged appropriately. Those poor kids; she must have scared the liver out of them, holding them at gunpoint for the audacity of selling discount tickets to support their school football team.
Wynne School District Superintendent Carl Easley said the district is considering stopping door-to-door fundraisers.
What that implies is that 'this is no country for children' anymore.
I really don't like it when schools pressure my children to go lean on everyone to try to raise money for the school. If my children are going to work for money, they are going to work for their own money.
Seriously the army of school administrators - more than there are teachers in many districts - and many making 6 figure salaries with benefits no on in the private sector receive - have no business using peer pressure and false promises of unobtainable cool prized to force children to shake down their relatives so the administrators can have a few more dollars to give themselves another pay raise with.
This practice is horrifically rotten towards children that maybe don't have relatives, are afraid to go to strangers doors begging for money, and puts parents in a very uncomfortable position - since the REAL goal is to try to force the parents to beg for money or cough it up ourselves for those administrators pay raises.
How many door-to-door people REALLY want tickets to the high school football game? This is just sending the children out begging for money for the administrators to use - and thus trying to pressure parents and relatives to do the same. At least with candy - crummy over priced cheap chocolate - you get something. You get nothing with a high school football ticket - pure profit from making children be beggars.
So what was her reasoning for try to detain these kids by gun point? From the article the cops let the kids go so it would seem to thing the officer didn't see anything wrong going on, but maybe she did, whats her side of the story?
What does your deflection have to do with the fact she held them at gunpoint? We all noticed you couldn’t bring yourself to actually condemn the woman’s actions and instead have to deflect to the school instead.

Did the children have a permit to sell door to door?
Maybe it was some kind of twisted "citizen's arrest" thing in her head.
I think that is why she was arrested and charged. The kids were out fund raising as they do in many neighborhoods including mine. She is an idiot. At least she didn't shoot them.
I think she had "black thugs coming to rape and murder" in her head.
I'm wondering if it were four white kids would she have had the same reaction?
