10,000 Rounds Of Ammo And 25 Guns Were Seized From A Teenager Posting Far-Right Memes On iFunny And Discord

An 18-year-old Ohio man charged Monday with threatening a federal officer allegedly posted extensively online about mass shootings, specifically targeting Planned Parenthood. According to an affidavit, the bulk of Justin Olsen’s radicalized content was posted under the name ArmyOfChrist on meme-hosting app iFunny.

Federal agents seized 15 rifles, 10 semi-automatic pistols, and 10,000 rounds of ammunition during the arrest earlier this month.

Olsen admitted that he was posting on iFunny under the name ArmyOfChrist and told the FBI during his arrest that his posts were supposed to be a joke. He described his posts about shooting federal agents as “a hyperbolic conclusion based on the results of the Waco siege.”

The FBI began investigating the iFunny account in February. As it gained more subscribers, Olsen created a Discord server to privately interact with his followers — a common phenomenon in radicalized online spaces. It was there that he allegedly threatened federal officers.

In a post on his iFunny account, Olsen wrote, "A few people have requested this recently, and I think it will allow for a better dialogue, so I have created a Discord server."

The ArmyOfChrist iFunny account is still online and currently has over 5,000 subscribers. At the time of viewing, the ArmyOfChrist server has around 40 users.

OK, here is one of those "good people". Glad they got to this little POS.

Hmm. They dont sound very "Christian" to me.

Strictly for hunting right? A sportsman? /s

One meme on his page read, “Repub if you would make an ethnostate in Montana with your male followers.” Another read, “Me thanking God that they put the gay bar and Planned Parenthood right next to each other.” In a text-only post he wrote, “American imperialism is the will of God, and the Western Hemisphere is a good start. I would absolutely die to eradicate Socialism and its variants.”

Sounds like another alt right loser, raised on hate.

The hate is apparent, as is the desire to commit violence, if you scroll down in the article to the memes/images.

Hmm.. how was this possible without having some new and highly restrictive "gun control" laws? Amazing what can be done when folks enforce the laws that we already have.

System worked. Glad they caught the little bastard.

I just want to make sure I understand what happened here -

1. The kid made threats online
2. The threats were investigated
3. The threats were found to be credible and they collected the guy

I really don't have much of a problem with that though I do have some question as to what the charges were. I also have a bit of a question about how an 18 year old affords 15 rifles and 10 pistols. Must be one heck of a summer job.

Basically, if somebody was on a Jihadi website talking like this pretty much everyone would expect them to be questioned, at a minimum. Same rules should apply to this guy.

Catch one, while probably a dozen more are operational. Yep, that is one amazing system alright.

No more mass-shootings. What a relief!

Didn’t one of this guy’s postings online mentioned admiration for the actions of Timothy McVeigh?

That alone is enough to ring alarm bells

it is moronic to claim that there is no legitimate reason to own lots of ammo. You can buy 5000 rounds of 22 for under 200 dollars and its much cheaper to do so. My family goes through 400 or so rounds of 22 a week during the summer competition season and that is merely for leagues. With practice its 600 rounds so I often buy 22 ammo two cases at a time-10K rounds and given there was a shortage a few years ago, I do so more than I did in the past.

Yup and what's scary is that it's not too different from some posts on here...

I wouldn't say raised on hate. They were likely recruited into hate. Most of these guys are suburban well off kids who you would never expect. That means they don't have a crazy hateful family though the parents probably gave them way too much leeway on the internet and were quite possibly christian fundamentalists. They were just brainwashed and went into the rabbit hole.

I wondered that too how he was able to afford so much. Or did mom and dad give him sufficient allowance to make those kind of purchases. And if still living at home, does anyone in the family every say, " You bought another gun?"

Maybe he's from a family like Turtledude's family. /s

Enforcement of existing law stopped one more, which is better than just waiting for some new law(s).

OK let's look at your comment that I bolded.

Who created them? Where did they come from? Did guns make them POS social misfit losers? Are guns the reason they're posting that way? Or is it their ideology that they picked up somewhere? And what made these losers so vulnerable and weak-minded that they accepted those ideologies?

THey arent finding these losers on gun sites and forums...they're finding them on (mostly) far right extremist sites. The guns didnt build those sites. The guns didnt bring them to those sites.

So why are you here complaining about guns? They arent the reason these POS losers are POS losers.

I don't find 10000 rounds neccessarily excessive. Like Luther earlier here, the number of firearms seems excessive considering his age. In any case, it's not the ammo and firearms that's troubling, but what might be intended with them that is.

Another little ****ing terrorist. I'm glad that they got him before he had the chance to end / ruin a lot of lives.
