I don't know what feminism has to do with lying at work, but no, I never have. Well, once in about '90 when I overslept, and I still feel bad about that.

Don't lie, cheat, or steal--they're really all the same thing--and then you can focus on all your character defects.

I think there is a very good reason that the OP is a consultant, and not an actual employee.

I wouldn't hire him based on his posting history, and I sure wouldn't keep him as an employee or consultant.

I've seen the result of what one bad employee can do to an entire department.
 
1. We all have to lie: at school or at work or in public.

2. The brutal truth hurts, so we avoid it.

3. The vast majority of people go along to get along. Those who do not fall in line will be isolated at school or fired from their jobs or banned from the Internet.

a. Every country has its party line. We Americans know exactly what we are expected to say, and most of us say it in public -- or else!
