Rape in the United States has Skyrocketed since Trump was Elected

Could also be because of policy changes and more survivors' bravery in announcing that they have been raped.

We should not forget that the Me Too Movement has really helped spur a lot people coming out about their victimization at the hands of sexually violent men.

Could be a factor, but I can't find any correlation to more recent reporting. This article talks about the percentages that are reported, and it is very low, at about 36%.

Reporting of Sexual Violence Incidents | National Institute of Justice

Only 36 percent of rapes, 34 percent of attempted rapes, and 26 percent of sexual assaults were reported.

Your data is from a study from 1992 to 2000. Here is the full statement.

The Bureau of Justice Statistics (BJS) reports that the majority of rapes and sexual assaults perpetrated against women and girls in the United States between 1992 and 2000 were not reported to the police. Only 36 percent of rapes, 34 percent of attempted rapes, and 26 percent of sexual assaults were reported

And why all the pedophiles around Trumpy? Georgie Boy Nader, Jeffy Epstein. Gee Donny, what's goin' on?

I've already acknowledged that there could be some truth to what you say. As somebody else mentioned - the "Me Too" movement has taken hold. I cannot, however, find any data on this - for example - women who acknowledge that they have been raped, and wouldn't have reported it a few years ago.

Whatever the truth may be, one wonders if one should spit on one's grave or one should carry a dull knife.
No, calm down, I am not calling for any violent acts.

It's only fake complaints and trivial stuff like groping (promoted as "rape" by the metoo movement) , actual rape(forced sexual penetration) is extremely rare.

Correlation is not causation.

There might be any number of other inputs into the overall system that has brought this to the fore.

What you did was say this:

"I guess male domination is back en vogue under this president."

Pathetic.

or have women FINALLY just started REPORTING IT because of the issues in the news, and the #metoo movement?
Yeah, they started reporting FABRICATED STORIES because they already know nothing bad can happen to them!

Looks like Trump is right about the illegals coming into the USA.

Rape cases are way up under Trump - more than any time in US history. I guess male domination is back en vogue under this president.

United States Crime Rates 1960 - 2017

With as much respect as I can muster for your thread and post, the "skyrocket" seems to have launched while Obama was in office.

Trump was not elected until the end of 2016 and did not enter office until 2017. The rate of increase from 2016 to 2017 seems to have slowed dramatically vs the immediately previous incremental annual rises.

If there is a presidential culprit to blame for the statistical "skyrocket", you cite, it seems to have been Obama, not Trump.

Care to try again in making unfounded, unjustified charges based on nothing but your own hate and bias?

How does one quantify numbers such as those.

has it?

i want to believe the second....

i dont believe the first

If you look at the data, murders have also been up. I don't think that's the Me-Too movement.

The flames of anti-feminine rhetoric, and the Trump popularity were well before 2017. This article is from August, 2015.

18 Real Things Donald Trump Has Actually Said About Women | HuffPost

Fox News’ Megyn Kelly called him out on his sexist behavior during the GOP debate on August 6, reminding him: “You have called women you don’t like ‘fat pigs’, ‘dogs’, ‘slobs’, and ‘disgusting animals.”
...
26,000 unreported sexual assults in the military-only 238 convictions. What did these geniuses expect when they put men & women together?
...
“It’s certainly not groundbreaking news that the early victories by the women on ‘The Apprentice’ were, to a very large extent, dependent on their sex appeal.”
...
“You know, it doesn’t really matter what [the media] write as long as you’ve got a young and beautiful piece of ass.”
...
While @BetteMidler is an extremely unattractive woman, I refuse to say that because I always insist on being politically correct.

and much more...

Actually if you look at your chart, the big gains happened under OBAMA(LOL)

Not true at all. Maybe you should learn how to read a table of figures.
