Vile conduct! Supporting illegal activities?

The families of ICE officers are receiving death threats and Soledad O’Brien is encouraging people to help doxx the ICE officers

This appears to be a violation of @Twitter’s rules and a safety concern for law enforcement Soledad O'Brien on Twitter: "I hope as these ICE Raids get underway, people who are in positions of safety take photos of the faces of those doing the arresting. 20 years from now, when we’re telling the stories of how this era unfolded, it will be useful to track those individuals down to interview them."

That...is not doxxing. Taking pictures of people in public, as they perform public and government sanctioned actions, is not doxxing.

What a ridiculous argument.

What's 'doxxing'?

Such a shame...nazis being outed.

The "track them down 20 years later" comment clearly suggests doxxing. That comment also puts O'Brien in the "political activist" class rather than the journalist class.

Being doxxed and getting threat threats are separate issues.

I'm just waiting for the first ICE officer to be injured or killed on the job. This is disgusting and I hope LEOs arrest these criminals who are calling for the targeting of LEOs.

I think it’s publicly posting personal information of people you don’t like or disagree with.

Ah, thanks. Though it's a strange term. Comes from 'documents', I guess.

This has been instigate and encouraged by Democrats who only needed to light a match to start this dumpster fire.

Geez, I remember I used to really like watching O'Brien on the Today show...when she was a journalist.

"used to track them down..."

Hello, that's doxxing.

The "track them down 20 years later" comment clearly suggests doxxing. That comment also puts O'Brien in the "political activist" class rather than the journalist class.

That 'track them down 20 years later' sounds ominous, like she just put the qualifier 'for interviews' at the end as an afterthought so she could deny the implied threat.
So many people on both sides seem to have taken on the full-time job of widening the partisan divide, worsening the rift in American society you gotta wonder how long it'll take to heal.

And here you are, tossing a match into a different dumpster. Instigated by Democrats? Really?
Give your head a shake.

10 Stages of Genocide

DENIAL is the final stage that lasts throughout and always follows genocide. It is among the surest indicators of further genocidal massacres. The perpetrators of genocide dig up the mass graves, burn the bodies, try to cover up the evidence and intimidate the witnesses. They deny that they committed any crimes, and often blame what happened on the victims. They block investigations of the crimes, and continue to govern until driven from power by force, when they flee into exile. There they remain with impunity, like Pol Pot or Idi Amin, unless they are captured and a tribunal is established to try them.

Oh the humanity!
I just don't get those who vehemently turn against ICE agents who are just following orders, and doing their jobs.

What then is doxxing to you?

Take pictures for the purpose of identifying, to track those individuals down 20 years from now, is the very definition of doxxing.

Aww...poor ICE Nazis. Maybe they should quit the job which makes them act like Nazis.

And here you are, tossing a match into a different dumpster. Instigated by Democrats? Really?
Give your head a shake.

It is being instigated by progressive leftists, today's new faces of the Democratic Party. We are discussing that instigation here, on a political discussion format.

Heck, there's even a #ClosetheCamps hashtag going around, but I suppose in your world that's not "instigating"?
Tweet much? Go read O'Briens thread. Soledad O'Brien on Twitter: "I hope as these ICE Raids get underway, people who are in positions of safety take photos of the faces of those doing the arresting. 20 years from now, when we’re telling the stories of how this era unfolded, it will be useful to track those individuals down to interview them."

Superior orders defense. Just because someone told you to do it does not necessarily absolve you of responsibility.

In your world, I suppose that's how it works, but in the real world, the ICE agents are invested in their careers, do their jobs to feed their families.

Aww...poor ICE Nazis. Maybe they should quit the job which makes them act like Nazis.

Everyone knows you don't believe these fellows are really Nazis.

You try so hard though but sit down and give your mind a rest.

Being doxxed and getting threat threats are separate issues.

Taking someone's pictures (identifying information) without their permission, in order to track them down later is a threat.

Everyone knows you don't believe these fellows are really Nazis.

When they act like Nazis, it's not a matter of me believing they are Nazis. They prove to everyone that they are Nazis.

Following that logic a lot of the Nazis hanged at Nuremburg were innocent. Just because they were told to or allowed to doesn't justify maltreatment of detainees, they are and should be held accountable along with their superiors.
