Encouraging doxxing of ICE offcers? What is wrong with people?

It is being instigated by progressive leftists, today's new faces of the Democratic Party. We are discussing that instigation here, on a political discussion format.

Heck, there's even a #ClosetheCamps hashtag going around, but I suppose in your world that's not "instigating"?
Tweet much? Go read O'Briens thread. Soledad O'Brien on Twitter: "I hope as these ICE Raids get underway, people who are in positions of safety take photos of the faces of those doing the arresting. 20 years from now, when we’re telling the stories of how this era unfolded, it will be useful to track those individuals down to interview them."

What's the difference between taking a photo of ICE making an arrest or the cops making an arrest?

No one accuses someone with an iphone taking pics of cops arresting someone as doxing, so why is this different?

Vile conduct! Supporting illegal activities?

The families of ICE officers are receiving death threats and Soledad O’Brien is encouraging people to help doxx the ICE officers

This appears to be a violation of @Twitter’s rules and a safety concern for law enforcement Soledad O'Brien on Twitter: "I hope as these ICE Raids get underway, people who are in positions of safety take photos of the faces of those doing the arresting. 20 years from now, when we’re telling the stories of how this era unfolded, it will be useful to track those individuals down to interview them."

Soledad O'Brien
María de la Soledad Teresa O'Brien is an American broadcast journalist and executive producer. Currently, O'Brien is the anchor for Matter of Fact with Soledad O'Brien, a nationally syndicated weekly political show owned by Hearst Television. She is chairwoman of Starfish Media Group, a multi-platform media production company and distributor that she founded in 2013.

This is just stupid. People take pics of cops making arrests all the time.

So why did you feel the need to research Soledad O'Brien and post her personal bio?

Doxing is posting someone's phone number, home address, email address, their job address, names and addresses of family members so that derelicts and internet trolls can harass and terrorize that person.

It's what Storm Front did to a woman in Montana and Alex Jones to did to Sandy Hook families. Doxing is not what O'Brien was doing.

That...is not doxxing. Taking pictures of people in public, as they perform public and government sanctioned actions, is not doxxing.

What a ridiculous argument.

It shouldn’t be too hard to get and publish the addresses of CNN talking heads along with pictures of their children standing in front of their ritzy private schools.

We all know the reason behind it - it is to alter the behavior of the target by removing their veil of privacy, and expecting to attract the attention of Antifa to do the dirty work.

Which would be completely different than what was said here.

Why are you posting such stupid things?

We all know the reason behind it
Yes, but only some of you are posting lies about it.

The "track them down 20 years later" comment clearly suggests doxxing. That comment also puts O'Brien in the "political activist" class rather than the journalist class.

You left off the part where she said to interview them. How convenient. Would you consider people like tucker carlson an activist or a journalist?

Well, now they know how the Sandy Hook families feel, right?

O'Brien is encouraging people to protect themselves with photographic evidence so they can use it in court if necessary. That by definition is not doxxing.

Remember when ISIS started publishing lists of US Servicembers, where they lived, where their families could be found, etc.?

Cute to see the Left adopt that tactic.

Isis? You went to Isis for your reply? My lord.

Iinvestigate the death threats then, they do belong to the Department of Homeland Security.
