I could respect someone that simply asked for forgiveness and acknowledged what they did was wrong, as oppose to somebody that trucks along in pursuit of power.

There is no safeguard. As we see, you can claim to have never even known the female and even the female's witnesses back you up, but you still are declared a rapist in every newspaper and news network.

In nearly all cases of people having been falsely imprisoned for years and decades - later proven innocent by dna - the men ever saw or met the female in their lives. They were picked out of police line ups or photographs. There was literally NOTHING those men could have done to avoid imprisonment.

Who this presumption that women always tell the truth and men always lie will - of course as always - again most victimize is innocent black men and men of color - certainly if accused by a white female. It is a guaranteed conviction even if he had never met or been with the female in his life.

There is not defense against an accusation and presumption of guilty.

I could respect them more than the way it is going now, but if someone put his hand over a woman's mouth to keep her quiet, while attempting to sexually assault her, he will never have any respect from me. The guy was a good looking guy, preppy, obviously wealthy. He could have had anyone he wanted, but according to what people are saying, he targeted the quiet girls who wouldn't say anything.

I don't know what did or didn't happen because there's scant evidence left behind, since it was thirty five years ago. I'll never have any respect for Kavanaugh though after he politicized Vince Foster's suicide along with Ken Starr.

That alone tells me he has sociopathic tendencies.

Take away the sexual assault allegations and he's still not fit to be a SCOTUS Justice. His mask was ripped off. The guy's a hothead and a strong, strong partisan. He has no place on the bench. I'd not want the guy as a local magistrate judge, much less a SCOTUS justice.

Nonsense, he was attack in the most scurrilous way, insulted, demeaned, labeled a racist. The only "partisan" thing he did was point out the shameless, amoral, vicious crap a particular party pulled.

And, let's be honest. If he'd come out calmly, quietly and subservient to the panel you guys would have attacked that as well.

He was not wealthy.

Innocent men may not be exempted from rape accusations, but they're certainly a lot ****ing harder to damage with them.

Every man who has ever been accused of rape has been surrounded by men claiming they cannot believe he's a rapist. If you want people to believe you're innocent, live your life such that the women around you refuse to believe it.
