Texas shootout

The point is that this is why cops react vice hesitate. The video shows how fast hesitation can get someone hurt, or killed.

Problem is that the court had to fabricate a new “reasonable” standard to apply to officer because of their lack of hesitation.

WRONG. Cops should not **** around. This means that all shootings are justified because you never know...

That is just dumb. If you are speeding and a cop pulls you over should he shoot you since there is a chance you might be dangerous? How about if he catches your kids jaywalking? Should they die?

If anyone bothers actually reading and studying the instances of police shootings that people are so quick to be upset about, they will see that the one common factor in almost all of the incidents involves suspects fighting with cops...even the unarmed suspects. Rather than people ****ting themselves over the cops, a massive PR push in the civilian community to stop doing stupid things would go a long way, as would communities calling out perpetrators for doing that stupid **** before they attack the cops for having to deal with their ****.

Play stupid games and win stupid prizes. If you think the officer did something wrong file a complaint with the police dept. Don't get into a brawl in the middle of the street
because you will lose that fight every time.

In 2017 a total of 987 people were shot and killed by police officers in America. In the same year 128 police officers "died in the line of duty" (I can't find an exact stat matching the "shot and killed" criteria). If you're going to make the argument that it's a case of shoot or be shot, think about which side has more reason to be concerned.

Out of a population of 326,766,748 a total of 987 people we shot by police? The police across the united states have millions of public contacts each week. Most end with a report taken, a ticket issued, a lost child found, with information given, an arrest made. Shootings are rare and for the most part legal and proper.

Yeah...you arent exactly helping your cause, are you? There are some 330 MILLION citizens and approx 2 million first responders. And of those 987 people shot, ONLY 68 WERE UNARMED.
https://www.washingtonpost.com/graphics/national/police-shootings-2017/

Of those 68, 33 were unarmed and NOT fleeing. And of those 33, they include the likes of William Tucker Mathis.

"Police received a 911 call around 8:52 a.m. from a woman who reported that her estranged husband was at her home in the 6300 block of Woodland Forest Drive. She told the dispatcher that she had a protective order and that she believed the man was using PCP. Dispatchers reported that the woman was screaming for help as the man broke into her home, and then she dropped the phone. There were three small children also inside the house. Officers responding to the residence found the rear glass door shattered, made entry, and were confronted by the suspect, who engaged them in a violent encounter"

Your narrative sucks.

I never said that they should just shoot first but if they do it is a justified shooting...

So if a cop shoots someone then it is ok? So again I ask if a cop shoots your child are you going to simply accept it? Are you willing to state that if a cop shoots your wife, no matter the circumstances, she deserved it? (if not wife if you aren't married then mother, father ect. )

Is my kid running away?

Why would a cop shoot my ex-wife if she was not doing anything?

Why do cops shoot people who aren't doing anything? It happens. And they simply say they were scared. So by your reply I assume you have a wife. Do you have kids as well? If a cop shoots them and simply says he felt threatened will you accept that she had it coming and move along? Should the police be allowed to murder your family? If not (I assume you aren't ok with it) then it shouldn't be allowed to other families either.

If an officer feels threatened then it is not murder... and I said ex-wife. If a cop shoots her I will not be that upset.
