Get paid exactly the same hourly rate as my male colleagues. Perform the same tasks as those who perform the same tasks as me.

Rostered to work 12 hour shifts. End up doing approx 60 hours per week give or take. More if I have to work days off. Days and nights. In reality, time spent at work, always goes over the designated rostered on times. Just how it is, I accept that.

I then go home and do whatever needs to be done there.

I also have an incredible fiance, who I adore. We share the chores. Some days he does a whole lot more than me at home, other days it's reversed, depending on who is working, who is home. Neither of us keep count. We both do what we can. It's not that hard to do when you care about each other, have respect for each other and are a decent human being to begin with.

If women get paid less to do the same exact job as a man then why dont corporations hire females only?

The smart ones did. Take walmart built their empire by hiring a bunch of 2nd income earning wives who were willing to work for less than a "living" wage to get out of the house and earn extra money. Go into any Walmart and all those with a gold name tag which signifies 20+ years with the company and almost all of them are married women

I mean, I do the majority cleaning and all the cooking in my household, can I have fewer hours too? That article is sexist because it assumes that all domestic chores need to be done by women.

It doesn't necessarily assume that they need to be.

It recognizes what is still typical.

Not sure how serious they are about the solution they seem to be proposing. Maybe they're trying to be provocative to make a point.

So the conclusion that women (if they have careers) work more and harder overall during their lives than men bothers you?

Why?

And apparently, heaven forbid women be acknowledged for it!

You find a lot to be angry about when it comes to woman don't yah bud?

And yet he claims all the time that he has it made with "his wife" and situation. He figured out the formula and has her right where he wants her and (nearly direct quote) "he, unlike most men in that culture, doesnt raise a hand to her."

She's actually learning to drive and it's so cute! She's trying so hard!

:thumbdown

Getting angry at women because some random person in another country says something you don't like is painfully silly. Trying to tie that lone person/study/publication with all who support gender equality is ****ing retarded.

So you agree the study is a farce.

Men work themselves to an early grave. I'm not going to pick up some of the slack because some female "team member" wants the same pay for fewer hours at the office. I think most men would refuse that arrangement as well. If both man and wife are getting six figure salaries, why on Earth don't they have a housekeeper? I'm not going to sacrifice to support someone else's two income household so they can drive a new Mercedes and a new Lexus while we get by with Toyotas.

Then men have lesser physiology, since the study indicates women work harder, overall.

Blame biology, not women.

All of women should pay for this individual writing this article... if there is not an immediate woman's march about it I will be irate!

How is this topic Law and Order...

Working so hard to get themselves into a early grave, is more or less a religious outcome for a number of men. Reading John Calvin deals with the question of being the elect.

I think that is only true if men do not do anything in the home, if both help in the household women are also able to work more hours if they want to and still be heatlhy.

That's a great idea!

Not all men agree tho.

I used to do the family laundry.....Saturday morning from 7AM until it was done. And I cooked on weekends, for those who get up in time. Kids are on their own now, and I get to sleep in. Her pay was lower than mine to start, much higher in our final working years.

Ah the irony :lamo :lamo

Talking about my emotionally disturbed ex wife and a pretty sexist Court system doesn't mean I dislike women in the slightest... just putting that out there and comments like yours are one reason I generally ignore your posts now... because they are often pretty stupid.

And yet, the obsessive part rings true and there's quite a bit of...I dont know, what alternate word would you like besides 'hate'?...bitterness?...thrown at women.

The truth hurts, if you dont like your hypocrisy pointed out...perhaps you can make the ignore 'official' and spare yourself.

It doesn't hurt because you don't post the truth... Your posts pointing out hypocrisy are ****ing retarded.
