Will Media Face Class-Action Lawsuit over SOUTHERN POVERTY LAW CENTER labels?

Who cares ? Far too many on the right of today, have no problem with this kind of slander or defamation.

In political and social issues, they are constantly at it ever since Reagan with 'limousine liberals' 'pointy-head professors' and his 'welfare queens.'

Hell, Gingrich is a limousine loud mouth, going after those who it turns out, aren't much different than him.

So how many bombs, shooting etc has the SPLC undertaken to be come a terrorist organization?

The power of the pen can be used to incite terrorism as well as bombs, vehicles or guns, can be used to carry it out.

Your a terrorist organization.

Pretty silly words and certainly unkind. You don't even know me, so you can't speak with any intelligence in that direction.
Besides, one person can't be an organization. Do my honest words, scare you?

You appear to be so hateful. And still probably condone all the treacherous and criminal actions of Obama and the Clintons.

:lamo So the SPLC writing about terrorist and extremist is inciting terrorism :lamo. More tales from the other side of reality aka fantasy and lies.

Well, you are inciting hatred towards the SPLC, exactly what you claim the SPLC does, so how does it not make you even worse than the SPLC? At least the SPLC does it to expose racist, extremist, terrorist, white-supremacist asswipes and their organizations, you however only dislike the SPLC it seems because they shine a just light on those evil groups that lurk in the shadows and need to be exposed.

:lamo Hateful? Nope, what that poster said was accurate and on point. And without resorting to potty mouthed language, Pedestrian sounds much more presidential than the Orange Oaf that is in power IMHO. And Gingrich is a loud mouthed whiny politician.

Ooh, and please point us to the courts that have prosecuted and convicted Obama and the Clinton's for treason or crimes? I will not hold my breath because you clearly have been drinking the Foxnews/Alex Jones Koolaid.

Your words aren't honest. The Southern Poverty Law Center provides data on hate groups. That's it. It takes a very warped sense of reality to claim they are terrorist.

How many physical attacks, bombings, shootings and etc does it take to be labeled an extremist/hate organization (or individual) by the SPLC?

Probably none

You do not need to physically hurt, kill or bomb anyone to be a hate group

However to be a terrorist, you need to have committed a terrorist act, which would involve bombing, killing etc

You also need not express explicit hate - you only need to have an 'extreme' opinion (one that conflicts with the current opinions of the SPLC). For example, when Hillary Clinton was solidly for only traditional marriage, she was not labeled as a hater by the SPLC nor was the DNC which supported Hillary. The SPLC knew that they would 'evolve' (or were simply lying to attract more of the, much needed, independent vote).

Such hate infractions may be limited to including the opinion statements of other SPLC designated 'haters' in their publications (newsletters or websites) or use (hateful?) terms such as 'anchor babies'. Of course, not all groups that publish these same folks' opinions are listed - only those that do not flag (label) them as 'haters' while doing so. In other words, it's OK for the NYT or the WaPo to publish those very same 'haters' opinions (editorials?) because the SPLC knows that they do so mainly to mock them and include many more opinion pieces that the SPLC agrees with than not.

Nonsense squared I see. Terrorist organization :lamo, sure, dream on, or should I say make more stuff up that shows you for what you are, a fantasist with no grasp of reality.

The SPLC is a hate group, plain as day.

I'm not inciting hatred at all, nor do I hate. I'm merely pointing out that the SPLC continually lies about people and groups and they promote hate and incite violence. That's terrorism.
The definition of terrorism is this: the unlawful use of violence and intimidation, especially against civilians, in the pursuit of political aims.
That definition defines the SPLC perfectly. They are an extreme Left radical organization.

Nope, it takes an average mind that doesn't think in warped, Lefty terms. Pretty straight forward really.

Well said.

The SPLC, as far as I know, does not use violence, therefore the SPLC does not qualify as terrorist since your supplied definition requires violence and intimidation - not merely intimidation, no matter how consistent or strong.

As in the definition of the 2nd amendment, I view the definition of terrorism, that I presented, as each "phrase" or "wording" here, to mean separate things. Terrorism can be done in many ways, through intimidation, and/or by violence.
Example: The woman was constantly terrorized by the man, calling her on the phone, and threatening to rape her. That terror that people feel is real, no actual violence need be carried out.

Clarification on a previous post. I said, "They are an extreme Left radical organization."

I would further add, that even though they don't actually carry out violence, as does the KKK, their intimidation tactics, their actions, create a culture of violence and as a result, they are no better than the KKK.

Show me SPLC's direct threats of violence - giving me some hypothetical examples is not making a valid argument.

BTW, pretending that 'and' really just means 'and/or' is just pure BS.

They are the puppeteer and Leftist nutjobs are their puppets. They promote a culture of violence, read orchestrate, w/o having to make direct threats.

The KKK is one extreme, the SPLC is the other extreme. Extremists in my view, do nothing of any good to help society, they just make things worse.

A Christian ministry’s defamation lawsuit against the Southern Poverty Law Center for putting it on a list of “hate groups” has been joined by Maajid Nawaz, a moderate Muslim British politician and founder of the Quilliam Foundation, which works to reform radical Islam. The SPLC has also attacked Ayaan Hirsi Ali, a female Muslim activist who champions women’s rights in the Islamic world. Under the SPLC’s tortured logic, Muslim activists who are trying to make Islam more tolerant are “hate groups” because they’re criticizing a religion, even though it preaches violence and intolerance. Rod Dremer, Israel’s ambassador to the US, called it “Orwellian” that “a woman whose life is threatened every day by extremist Muslims is labeled by the SPLC an anti-Muslim extremist."

It’s Time to Bring the Southern Poverty Law Center to Justice

There are many powerful forces operating today across the nation to divide the American people and silence opposing views. One of the most active of these efforts is the Southern Poverty Law Center (SPLC).

There are two very serious reasons why the SPLC is in many ways more dangerous than other organizations that are fueling the flames of the far left radicals who use violence and lies to stop honest political debate.

I equate the SPLC to the pedophile who stands up in the neighborhood and points his finger and objects to the sexual predator, who just moved into the neighborhood, upon release from prison.
