Rapper who Lynched White Child in Video Shot Dead in Florida

Oh...this guy seems like a peach....

"He was accused of punching his pregnant girlfriend "to where both eyes became shut and victim could not see,"

Dood just had house arrest lifted. C'est la vie.

XXXTentacion's music and videos were not art, anymore than racist skinhead rock bands are. You wouldn't fathom calling a skinhead band that sings about lynching a black child 'art'.

To be fair -- you're right -- I didn't see it (and, it's not something I'd like to see) so you very well could be correct about his intent. I'll give you the benefit of the doubt because I think you're sincere, and because you make a good point.

You win this one.

I'll get'cha next time around, my friend. :)

Heck, I wasn't expecting that. Humility and honesty are rare traits to find on this site, or anywhere for that matter.
Let me offer you a hearty hand glasp in good spirit-

PS- We might not have the opportunity to verbally tango for a while; I've been given a temporary boot from the ME forum for my unheralded naughtiness. :2razz:

I accept your handshake -- and I return it!

Sorry about getting booted from the ME forum -- that happened to me a couple of months ago. So easy to break the rules in there without even meaning to.

I'd heard of XXXWhoever before, but never listened to his music. After hearing about him depicting a lynching of a small white boy in his video, I figured nah, this isn't for me. I don't understand why white people subject themselves to this music anymore. Rap used to be about partying and having fun, but it's become dark and gross.

What are your thoughts about XXXWHOEVER? Was his death as sad as Marvin Gaye's, or Jimi Hendrix? To me, Gaye and Hendrix were deeply talented yet troubled people, which makes them more important of a loss.

What's up with this Iranian flag avatar. Is it Iran month?

Sounds like a piece of ****. Never heard of him and I am sure I will quickly forget him.

He wasn't a genius, he was a pregnant-girlfriend-beater. Misogynistic scum of the highest order, Trump-Level if you will.

You should probably see a mental health professional about your TDS. They might be able to help you live a full and happy life.

….once again, full, fair discussion leads to polite exchange. Thank you for your ability to bend. A quality missing from both sides today! I am working on my own, it seems you are already there!

Regards,
CP

If Maxine Waters had a son he would look like that rapper

This XXX dude is a walking zombie rapper who has proved rap is crap.

The world won't miss this sort of genius.

You missed out the last line..."My Bitch she said I was too small to find,No way I could give her a grind"

I was quite surprised that his videos have tens of millions of hits on YouTube, and he was considered a mainstream rap artist. So I watched a live performance to try to gain a better understanding of who his fan base is. When the camera pans to the crowd, like 90% of the fans at that show were white.

Yes, to me his death was exactly as sad as Marvin Gaye's or Jimi Hendrix's. As in those people are all strangers to me and I'm not particularly affected by any of their deaths.

Maybe you're simply not a fan of the musicians I mentioned, but you don't have to know a person in real life in order to feel some empathy about them dying, do you?

lil peep 4 da win ..................... RIP peep .............

this kind of thing is so 'rare' in his profession

wonder why he had any enemies

I thought he was probably killed by a rival too, but the real story is far dumber. The rapper was killed because he made a post on Facebook to brag about having a large amount of cash on him that he was going to use to buy a $20k motorcycle. Someone decided they'd kill him and take the cash.

Peep was certainly culturally enriched by rap music, wasn't he?

I don't know because everyone has a different idea of what is valued & valuable.

Peep's mother was very vocal in her support for her son, and she was proud of the fact that peep had somehow charted a large part of his own course, all while paying homage to other musical genres that were present before him. peep certainly charted his own musical course, much more so, than many other artists.

It would have been a hoot to see him perform live but it wasn't meant 2 B.........

There's a ton of these white boy rappers now with face tattoos and drug problems. The influence on society is what I'm getting at. I grew up with rap, so I'm not completely against the genre, but it's morphed into something grotesque. I definitely can't see myself encouraging my son to embrace a lifestyle where it's cool to snort 50 xanax and vicodin a day, and die at 23.

I have played guitar, in some capacity, for nearly 50 years. I have owned over 400 guitars, still own about 35 guitars, have been to more concerts than I can name, mainly just to hear the guitarists & to see what they are doing when they do their 'jobs.' I have seen so many players live I couldn't name them. Many of these musicians were into the drug scene & some didn't live long lives.

I try and separate the art from the artist & the recreational use of 'drugs.' Some folks look at music as a life style, some look at it as a way to make 'connections' but I'm just into music. I constantly look for music & musical acts to explore music. I agree that drugs are there but one doesn't have to make it about drugs. Drugs are a choice in life, with, or without music.

Have they arrested the white cop that gunned him down just for being a poor innocent widdle man yet?
