BREAKING NEWS: OFFICER KILLED, SUSPECT ARRESTED | WBFF

These kids were robbing houses. A neighbor called the cops. The first officer to show up engaged the kids. The little ****er ran her over.

You want to know why I generally have little sympathy for people who get killed by cops while committing criminal acts? It's because so many criminals seem to have no regard for human life. We keep on hearing "My poor little baby was just robbing and stealing to buy diapers for his child" or whatever but every doggone time a cop shows up to investigate they're putting their life at risk. They're putting their life at risk because so many of these kids are being taught that the cops their enemies. They're being taught that cops aren't human....

This is just tragic.

The kids, if they just gave up, would have had a nominal price to pay for their crime. Now they're looking at a MUCH different picture and another cop's family has to suck up a loss.

What do you think is more logical? That the criminals HATE cops? Or that they are scared of cops?

We had some teenage punks run over (and kill) a poor old korean lady cuz they stole some beer out of her store and she ran out into the driveway.

I dont think these stupid idiots HATED her they were just stupid, stupid, scared kids that didnt wanna get caught and panicked their way out of there. (and into prison)

Criminals are SCARED of cops not hate cops. The media isnt teaching them to hate cops its just that they dont wanna get caught with a crime and panicking.

I understand you want all cops to beat all cop haters out there but 99.99% of people dont hate cops. They are scared of them.

Scared or hated, murder is murder. The news said she had a camera, so there is likely going to be plenty of evidence against this kid. He's being charged as an adult and will spend quite some time in jail.

Ya of course he deserves a lot of time. I just dont agree with this whole "cop war" thing op is fueling. 99.99% of criminals are terrified of being busted by cops. Its not like these criminals are hunting cops down like MS-13 gang or something thats totally different.

I read somewhere that the 16-year old who run over the police officer will be tried as an adult.

Okay with me.

Tell me you are joking ... :lamo

Where does he talk about hating cops at all?

I hope the kid is prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law. That said and while I understand your gut reaction it's wrong to paint every scenario with the same brush. Many criminals probably don't have any regard for human life but many do. No way to know ahead which is which and in any case it's not the cop's job to administer justice. That's for the people through the courts. The cop needs to do everything reasonably possible to let the justice system do it's job.

You are guessing. Nothing wrong with that but you are not entitled to put a number - 99.99 - on a guess.

I've been watching 'Flint' on Netlix. Based on that edited evidence I would say that in that city at least the proportion who hate police is in to double figures. And would you not agree that BLM is encouraging hatred and is having some success?

99.99% of the time I would guess that statement would be wrong

I just don't buy the whole "scared Kid" thing.. I might go with "desperate to get away from the scene of the crime" excuse.

Really sad for the police officer..

However.. Has the officer been a little faster and put 4 slugs in the driver the headlines would have been:

Police gun down unarmed child in innocent Jeep ride.

The cop was in a no win situation.

Well there were bullet holes in his windshield so im pretty sure she fired at him and he was scared when she was doing that. Personally I rather run out of the way of a moving car than stand there trying to fire at it.

The revolving door of so called justice. The guy should have been in jail not running over a police
officer.

Police say a 16-year-old suspect, Dawnta Anthony Harris, is currently being held without bond.
At a bail review hearing, details were released that Harris has 4 other cases involving theft of a motor vehicle - that's not including the Jeep he's accused of stealing that was used in this crime.

The Judge called the teen a one man crime wave.
