Liberal Mayor Assaulted by Far-right Mob at War Memorial Event [W:20]

Re: Liberal Mayor Assaulted by Far-right Mob at War Memorial Event

You might wanna check out the warning in post #20. Just sayin.

Didnt see it, thanks...but then that would make your post eligible in not addressing the topic then as well. Especially with the unnecessary "Just saying" added on, eh?. Besides, one should be against all thuggery ...and against a liberal mayor? Well sure. Well, except maybe he might have said some things to super anger nationalists like:

""I don't give a sh**" if Kemal Atatürk killed or not Greeks". Boutaris has repeatedly angered hardliners in Greece with his controversial statements on the naming dispute with the Republic of Macedonia, the history of the Greek–Turkish relations and the Holocaust of the Jews in Greece"

Then show up "at a remembrance event for the Pontic Greek victims of Turkish genocide" Yano? He seems like one asking for it.

Re: Liberal Mayor Assaulted by Far-right Mob at War Memorial Event

The sentiment should be the same, the truly caring should be against the thugs who would harm those less able to defend themselves. You point out a mayor, should not matter what are his politics. We point out the innocent unborn...same principle...merely a deeper injustice.

You want us on the right to care and the overwhelming majority of us do, wholeheartedly ...but you folks are unwilling to reciprocate.

You have proven you don't care and are more than happy to use off topic concerns to defend violence as long as it's done by anyone kind of on the right.

This thread isn't about Stalin or Hitler. If that's all you can come up with to defend the violence, you already lost.

I'm not defending violence. That was kinda my point. Just because I pointed out that Stalin killed way more doesn't mean I'm downplaying what Hitler did.

Yeah yeah yeah, whatever. Its principle, an idea missing from the lefts lexicon.

The dude is an idiot. All sane people agree that you dont anymore go beating up on old dumb folks than you do innocent babies...but this guy did the equivalent of walking into a biker bar and yelling all those big bruisers are wimp, wet rag, limp wristed ******s...or a dumb white guy walking deep, straight into the middle of the hood and yelling at the top of his lungs, caĺling everybody the "N" word.

What did he reaĺly expect? Yano?

lol...just trying to help, homie...

I don't really understand what you're so upset about. Are you advocating for a 73 year old guy to get beat up by an angry mob? So, what are you feelings about AntiFa? :)

Yeah yeah yeah, I am not fluent in progressive speak, its a dying tongue...but I do understand the basics...

Question is, do you understand plain English? I explained my position... even giving two analogies to bring it down to where non native speakers might understand. No. I, in no manner so advocated...though its obvious this cretinous ignoramous said very nasty and infuriatingly provacative crap to people who have real, heartfelt feelings about the matter...and then attended one of their events honoring those he had so dishonored.

Those vicious blackards, Antifa? Didnt you see the warning in post # 20? Didnt think I d actually fall for that, did ya? Just saying, homie.

Hmm...I see I'm being served a mighty portion of deflection, with a side of side stepping. Please be clearer. It's difficult to understand your position when you start off by saying you don't advocate violence, and then go on to spend the rest of the paragraph coming up with reasons why in this case the violence was justified. So...are you for or against the beating of this 73 year old man? Do you, or do you not, condemn those using violence in this scenario?

As for AntiFa, actually that's well within the context of this conversation, so be brave. If you do say that the beating up of this man for political reasons is justified, then you are also justifying the violence of AntiFa (cuz what's good for the goose is good for the gander, amirite), at which point I must ask, since you hard righties often say that only the Left engages in political violence, why you such a commie, homie?
