"The attempted murder of Sergei Skripal in March of 2018 with a Novichok nerve agent has pushed this topic back into the headlines. The United Kingdom, United States, and other countries condemned the Kremlin’s suspected involvement and agreed to the largest collective expulsion of Russian diplomats in history. The hit on Skripal recalled the poisoning of Alexander Litvinenko in London in 2006, and renewed questions about the unexplained deaths of many prominent Russians in the UK over the past decade. This is a serious issue which can lend itself to sensationalist handling. The Eurasia Center of the Atlantic Council is assembling a distinguished panel with expertise and personal experience to place this latest incident in context."
