Just how trigger happy are US police. How many times do we see a US policemen routinely kill someone ?

In 2015 US police killed 1,200 people

In the first 24 days on 2015, US police killed 59 people - whereas British police killed 54 people, in the previous 24 years

Killed By Police - 2018

https://www.theguardian.com/us-news/2015/jun/09/the-counted-police-killings-us-vs-other-countries

2014:
US police killed 1100 people
Canadian police killed 14 people
British police killed 1 person (same as in 2013 Btw)
German police killed 0 people (same as in 2013)
Icelandic police killed 0 people (infact they've only every killed 1 person ... EVER)
Chinese police killed 12 people (with a population 4.5 times larger than the USA)

Let that sink in. Law enforcement in the US killed 92 times more people than a country with nearly 1.4 billion people

"...from 2010 through 2014, there were 4 fatal police shootings in England, which has a population of about 52 million. By contrast, Albuquerque, N.M., with a population 1 percent the size of England’s, had 26 fatal police shootings in that same time period..."

Police in the US Kill Citizens at Over 70 Times the Rate of Other First-World Nations

So why are US police so murderous ?

So why are US police so murderous ?

Murder has a very real meaning. Do you know what it is? Your post suggests not.

I do and murderous does not always mean pertaining to murder (homicide).

Tom Hanks in "Saving Private Ryan"

"Stay out of those murder holes..."

So what are you talking about? Stamp collecting? Hair styling? Analogy or metaphor not withstanding your use clearly suggests murder.

Did you actually read the opening post ?

It's about US police killing so many people/per year.

A laughing matter for sure.

Think about it for just a minute...China with a population around 4.5 times that of the USA had 12 people killed by police. The USA had rate 92 times higher.

NINETY - TWO times higher.

Did you look at some of the other countries compared ?

US police KILL 3-4 people per day.

Just another fact that the American right doesn't want to discuss.

The USA leads the world is police killings
Incarceration per capita
Defense spending
People believing in UFOs

If Trump really wanted to make America great again, perhaps he should focus on thing like infant mortality rates, literacy rates, teenage pregnancy rates...
Things that might actually help improve the USA.

That you believe China's report is honest is adorably naive.

I'm sure you have a much more accurate source.

In answer to your question yes.

You might also want to compare US v Chinese incarceration rates per capita.

The Chinese goverment routinely performs extrajudicial murders of its citizens. These are the same people who dealt with peaceful protests by rolling out tanks.

The US government spends a lot because A: military equipment is expensive and B: we have commitments to our friends across the world.

And by the way, there is almost certainly alien life out there somewhere.

I think you need to study China a little, particularly their absurd reporting of various stats. You do know it's a regime without human rights, right?

Yes China executes convicted criminals for some crimes

Yes the equipment favored by the DoD is expensive...and often doesn't work anyway. All the same - the US defense budget is HUGE.

Yes there is probably alien life elsewhere in the universe, but do you mean to say you believe in alien UFOs and alien abduction ?

Back on topic...US police, trigger happy killers or not ?

Yes, and their police still kill way, way, way less than police in the USA do.

But then again, so do the police forces in every country in the developed world too.

China routinely executes innocent people for “political crimes” as well. Mao, the “founding father” of the communist state, killed more than even Stalin or Hitler.

https://www.google.com/amp/s/amp.cn...ecutions-nicholas-bequelin-amnesty/index.html

“China's criminal justice system is also plagued by insurmountable defects. With a conviction rate standing above 99% and a majority of criminal cases tried without a lawyer in the courtroom, the odds of defendants receiving a fair trial are abysmally low.

The risks of miscarriage of justice and wrongful executions are exacerbated by a judicial system that is not independent and continues to convict on evidence based on "confessions" -- often coerced or extracted through torture.

Take the case of Nie Shubin, a 20-year-old executed by firing squad in 1995. Last December a court overturned his conviction, but that verdict came 21 years too late for him. If justice delayed is justice denied, then Nie Shubin's is a case of a justice system disgraced.”

Yes, because we have international commitments to our friends. Unless you’d rather we abandon them?

I don’t think it’s out of the question, and I certainly don’t think we should just dismiss the idea of aliens visiting earth out of hand.

And no, the vast majority of American police are not “trigger happy killers”.

Chinese police regularly gun down whoever they want, no human, civil, labor or environmental rights are recognized by the regime. I've seen documentaries of drug smuggling that have Chinese police sinking vessels and leaving people to die. You are incredibly ignorant of the horrors of China and the lies of the tyrannical regime.

Hey if things are so good in China would you consider leaving the US and living in China?

China Human Rights

https://www.amnestyusa.org/countries/china/

Amnesty International has documented widespread human rights violations in China. An estimated 500,000 people are currently enduring punitive detention without charge or trial, and millions are unable to access the legal system to seek redress for their grievances. Harassment, surveillance, house arrest, and imprisonment of human rights defenders are on the rise, and censorship of the Internet and other media has grown. Repression of minority groups, including Tibetans, Uighurs and Mongolians, and of Falun Gong practitioners and Christians who practice their religion outside state-sanctioned churches continues. While the recent reinstatement of Supreme People's Court review of death penalty cases may result in lower numbers of executions, China remains the leading executioner in the world.

Richard Phillips convicted for murder in 1972 aged 27. At the age of 71 after more than 45 years in prison for a crime he did not commit, a judge overturned his conviction...

Your point ?

...I don’t think it’s out of the question, and I certainly don’t think we should just dismiss the idea of aliens visiting earth out of hand....

So you believe that aliens may have visited the Earth and walked amongst us or our ancestors ?

OK.........

...the vast majority of American police are not “trigger happy killers”.

Just enough to kill 3-4 people, per day, in the USA.

And plenty of people attack cops.

Right

And these people are often found unarmed and seen running away from the police officer(s) when shot dead.

US police kill 3-4 people, per day, in the USA.
Are you claiming all of these are justified homicides ?

Just enough to kill 3-4 people, per day, in the USA.

Did Richard Phillips have a lawyer?

Was Richard Phillips convicted in a justice system with a 99% conviction rate?

Was Richard Phillips executed by firing squad for a crime he didn't commit, in a legal system which didn't even bother giving him representation?

No?

Then your argument doesn't apply. Nice try though.

The excuses you have made for the joke of the "justice system" the communist regime in China has established are very telling.

Whereas the Chinese police routinely murder people who never committed a crime at all--- and are never punished for it.

Correct.

The USA incarcerates more people per head of population than any other country in the world.

Correct, the Chinese government keeps its numbers down by murdering innocent people.
