Another dumb criminal who couldn't stand being shot just once. He had to come back for seconds. :doh

A mother and daughter took matters into their own hands and shot a would-be robber at their liquor store in Tulsa, Oklahoma.

Police said the man was armed with a shotgun and demanded money. When he walked away, one of the women reached for a handgun under the counter and shot the suspect.

The man managed to grab the mother and that's when the daughter shot him again. He was taken to a hospital in critical condition.

It doesn’t look like they fired until he walked back towards them unless something happened off camera.

Liquor store clerks ought to be armed, just like teachers.

That video also shows why it helps to have a weapon with as much stopping power as you can handle. Why do I want something like an AR15 for home defense when we could just as easily use a hand gun? That video is one example why.

One of the youtube comments said he came back for some shots.

They needed a bigger gun to take him out the first time.

Yeah, that kind of makes my mind up for me. A hand gun wasn't much use.

I think its more about shot placement......this young gentleman tried to rob a gun store; The owner fired and Im pretty sure the robber was dead before he hit the ground.

The robber was double wielding, and dropped both as he was hit.

Actually, there are a few possibilities why the guy in the other video didn't go down right away.

This guy wasn't intelligent to begin with
Guess he didn't think that a gun store might have people with guns that shoot back? He got what he deserved :)

So he didnt actually rob anything then they shot him in the back?

It looks to me like the daughter opened the cash drawer (below counter) via computer, robber bend down to take the money out, left store, changed his mind, came back in ... and that's when all hell broke loose.

Came back to argue with a lady that just shot at him three times?

Yep, not continuing to fire until the perp is stopped allowed the perp to gain control of the clerk's gun - a huge mistake. Since there is no audio, I have no idea if the clerk had ordered the perp to get and stay on the floor.

A snake charmer darrenger loaded with 4.10 shells of number two buck shot stored in the cash drawer would stop a whole lot of robberies...

I'm happy for the way things turned out, but I hope those two ladies learn a few lessons from this.

1. Their firearms don't do any good under a counter. They both should have had them in a holster on their person.

2. Their firearms were under-powered. A larger caliber would have stopped the crook instead of just pissing him off.

3. Both ladies fired a couple rounds...and then stopped. Then they had to fire again. They should have fired ALL their bullets into the guy, reloaded and fired again...until he's no longer a threat.

Well, a .45 will generally do the job in close quarters. It fires a big, slow round with a whole lot of kinetic energy.

Sounds like that robber is a candidate for a Darwin award.

Some liberal lawyer will sue on behalf of the robber. The poor store owners will probably lose their store.
