being tried as adults for murder. 20 years seems about right

that's a tough call here. DP is mainly reserved for premeditated murder. This is close but reckless murder or second degree fits better here. Of course if some citizen had seen these jerks throw rock and then get another one and he shot them down, that would have been justifiable
