Two former UAlbany students were sentenced for their role in the CDTA bus assault on Friday.

Cheers of support echoed throughout the Albany County Courthouse after former UAlbany students Asha Burwell and Ariel Agudio learned that they were sentenced to three years’ probation and 200 hours of community service for falsely reporting an incident on a CDTA bus.

The altercation occurred on a city bus, that was fortunately equipped with cameras. 3 black girls screamed racial slurs at white passengers and also punched several of them. They then took to social media, declaring they'd been called the N-word and beaten up by a gang of racist white men.

Outraged minorities threatened violence, with the brother of one of the supposed victims even stalking one of the men involved, using threats that could have turned into violence.

The verdict: probation. These women performed a hate crime themselves, lied about it, managed to whip minority students into a frenzy, and now they just got away with it.

So much for white privilege, now anyone can get away with blatant "hate" crimes.

So a group of women get better treatment again for assault. I totally didn't see that coming.

Oh, and lets not forget that black people can't commit hate crimes, so of course that wasn't going to result in much. The fact that they were black and female only makes that even less of a factor.

OP obviously has no clue what constitutes a hate crime.

Regarding other ignorance in this thread, blacks have been convicted of hate crimes against whites, and gays against heteros.

Are you disputing the honesty of the OP?

Were they convicted of a hate crime? No. Why? It wasn't.

OP needs to get a clue about hate crime legislation.

Falsely accusing someone of assaulting them because of the color of their skin isn't a hate crime? Oh you reeducated sociologists and your funny little thinking.

I thought you didn't believe blacks were capable of racism against whites?

Interesting racial comments contain in postings concerning a racial incident.

Kind of reminding me of dolls inside dolls concept.

In any case, such comments to me is sicking even if the posters are trying to hide their racism by addressing a news article concerning the racism and bad deeds of others.

What are you talking about? My comment had to do with bias in the justice system, not some personal feelings towards race. Stop seeing racism everywhere you look.

You know what would be nice though? If liberals would stop accusing everyone of isms and phobias because they don't like peoples comments. That would be great.

False flag events are even worse, when used to garner sympathy under "rascism"

If black people did it, it's gotta be worse than just about anything, right?

Yeah the ism thing is getting pretty played out at this point.

Though as a talking point, Albany does practice preferential treatment of women. So that could be one thing that helped get them a lessened sentence, as well as the fact that even filing a false police report can at most lead to a year of jail time. Though it mostly ends in fines, and no real time spent confined at all. The only cases I can find that even ended with someone getting jail time, involved someone getting hurt by the police response. Or by someone repeatedly calling in the police for the fact of "trolling" his neighbor.

Though I would have loved to see these little c^nts get some time behind bars. They now have a record that is going to sit with them for a while. Besides that, if their current attitude hold correctly we can surmise that one or all are going to f^ck up during their probation period.

I am rather surprised to read in the report that the people on the buss did not really press charges for the physical assaults, which surely would have added an actual stretch of jail time.

3 black chicks beating up 1 white girl on the bus. Not unusual, but it should raise some eyebrows and warrant a hate crime investigation. I doubt whether police even bothered.

You'd give them jail time? No wonder your country is the most incarcerated country in the world.

Yes, they deserve jail time for incitement to riot, committing a hate crime, and reporting a fictitious crime to the police dept.

I find it amazing that their attorneys and their families can watch that video and still insist that those girls were the victims. I can't wrap my head around that.

I remember when it happened, before the truth came out, BLM and even Hillary Clinton threw their support in. How embarrassing for them. Their original claims:
In 911 calls, Agudio said one of her friends had asked a group of white students on the bus to be quiet because they were being too loud.

"I just got jumped on the bus and no one did anything. ... It was a racial crime. They were calling us ni---- and all this stuff. ... It was ridiculous. ... They ripped out all of our hair and everything. ... Boys were hitting us. ... It happened on the 12 bus," Agudio told a 911 dispatcher. "No one called the cops. ... No one cared. ... It was a racially fueled crime. Three black girls shoved by, like, 20 white people."

In a separate call, Burwell said: "The bus driver didn't do anything about it until we got to campus and he stopped on the bus and still the guys continued to hit us in the face."

I guess no more accusations of feminism when one female says something crazy, eh? :2razz:
