1.) A black waitress forged a note from a customer, which contained an anti-African American sentiment. She went on to collect $4000 from donations sent in by sympathetic Americans.

Why are so many people who lean left suddenly staging fake hate crimes against themselves? My theory is that we've placed a high priority on being a victim, that those who aren't victimized feel left out.

Yes, because the world only operates in extremes. :roll:

Actually, no... and where you made that jump is bizarre... it's just a reason to be a little cautious when hearing initial reports.

I read elsewhere just today about a "hate crime" in reverse... a white person falsely claimed they were attacked by a black person. Dishonesty is a human trait... who'da thunk it?

You have it backwards, it was intellectually lazy to accept all the reports of hate crimes as valid, and doubly so to attribute it all the Trump being elected. Oh...nice avatar, btw. Do you always choose human rights violators as your role model?

Other sites have exposed the story as a fraud. Even the owner of the restaurant where she worked said he believed the story was fake, and said the receipt was printed after the restaurant was closed.

There is always a few cooks out there.. Hoping for a get rich lie.. or as a way to deflect blame..

There was a woman ( 10 years ago or so ) that rolled her car down the boat ramp into the lake and drowned her children,, She reported to police that a black man carjacked her car..

Dis honesty is one reason why I have dash cams in my vehicles..

That's pretty serious stuff. I didn't realize there was so many fake hate crimes. I hope they were all charged for falsely reporting it.

How many hate crimes are not reported?
Do we have a factoring rate for that?
So 3 or 10 are unfounded, then does this detract from the fact that hate crimes occur?

Dont know. Havent a clue. Do you? What I DO know is that after the third time that boy called "wolf" the townspeople said "eh...**** off...."

I dont mean to sound flippant. I believe every crime should be considered. Maybe the answer is to destroy people criminally and civilly that file false criminal charges publicly so people will get the idea that it is a really really really stupid ****ing idea. We DO have violent criminal acts. We DO have legit instances of racism. But when you have to respond to every single story with "Well...if this is true, then....." thats aa problem.

So now we start generalizing as everyone who is Jewish, black or a student as left leaning? Well, what if someone says their money grabbing character/greed is totally in line of people who have a right leaning attitude? Would that be fair? No, it would be equally unfair to generalize people like that.

DId you bother looking at the list of 300 'hate crimes' that were proven to be hoaxes and did you detect the typical lean of those that were doing it?
