Some genius tried to blow up a police car in Boston on Friday, as BLM'ers and Code Pink ranted and raved about imaginary oppression.

A man suspected of leaving a burning propane tank next to a Boston squad car last week was taken into custody after an investigation into the incident, police said on Sunday.

Asim Kieta, 42, was arrested late on Saturday in the city's Charlestown section and charged with possession of an explosive device, arson and assault with intent to murder, among other counts.

Thoughts?

And don't forget, there's no war on police.

Funny, it sure seems like some radical leftist groups are waging a low intensity terrorist war against the police.

American name?

Attention all immigrants. Change your name and kids name to Steve, Mike, Charles, Amy or Kristen when you move to the USA so you sound like an "American".

Did you learn that from your family's immigration experience?

There are many good Americans who are immigrants or the children of immigrants

Some of them even have strange sounding names too

But when someone with a strange sounding name tries to blow up a police car it makes you wonder...

Wonder what?

How they got here and why they came

How, is the same way everyone gets here. Why is up to the individual and how their name sounds really isn't relevant to that.

It is when they try to kill people

Listen you have not struck out yet

This guy could be a 4th generation American

But don't bet the rent money on it

No, their name is not relevant. What they do is relevant. As is typical, you don't seem to understand where to place blame.

What this guy did was pretty bad.

And if he is an immigrant its even worse

I have quite a few long time friends with names that I can barely pronounce correctly, nevermind trying to spell out.

I'm not sure if I am ready to place them on my watch list just yet.

A watch list for American citizens?

no.

But maybe we need to vet foreigners better before letting them run lose around the country

No. What this guy did was pretty bad.

If he was born in America shame on him

If he was not born in America shame on whoever approved his visa to immigrate here

No, if he was born in America, shame on him. If he was not born in America... shame on him.

Vetting yes.

But many of these mush heads come from parents who immigrated solely for the purpose of living the American dream.

The only thing we parents can truly expect to accomplish with our children........ is to keep them breathing long enough for them to make their own decisions. We can only hope that our influence directs them onto the right path.

He was assimilating. He was doing the same kind of thing as loads of Americans around him.

You can’t shift the blame for all the division, hate and violence in America on “others” (that being a major part of the division itself). America needs to acknowledge and own its problems before it has any chance of actually resolving them.

Every American is an immigrant or a descedent of one...

At least here you aren't saying, "shame on his name".

Taino indian here, really wanna play this game?

By that standard, anyone on Earth not living in the fertile crescent is an immigrant or descended from one. That's a standard that would render the term meaningless.

If you want to take my comment completely out of context go ahead...

That said, I'll play.

You are 100% Indian/Native blood?

We are talking about immigrants... not migrants. That would qualify people like me who's ancestors migrated on the Mayflower as Native Americans too since there was no recognized nation to immigrate to.
