Actually The "art" is pretty much right on,, If you look closely,, They depict cops as pigs,, and there is probably a few to fit that depiction... But the cop in the lower right is leading a black man away,, Not in handcuffs.. Does not have his club out,, the man is not bloody,, looks like he's being treated very well. The black man has his low riders on,, Looks like a bag of weed in his pocket.. ( see the bulge?)

The rather large man behind has his drug scale on his shoulders.. He's obviously a drug dealer.. Look at the bulge in his pocket!!! he intends to sell!!!


The black man on the right, standing next to the man with the bull horn ( whom is obviously shouting "pigs in a blanket,, fry'em like bacon),, he has a pipe or some kind of weapon in his hand..

The only thing missing is all of the looting, burning and rioting..

That look like Ferguson all right!!

For all the right wing loves to talk about "victim culture" I have never seen any other group with such a love of claiming that they are being "persecuted".

Nothing in that Twitter hashtag is even close to an American Kristallnacht.

I think that is a good point. I would be more open to that one due to it being based on what everyone can agree was a dark part of American history that needs to be remembered.

I think the reason so many are offended by this one is due to the fact that it is built off a false narrative and only further causes division in a time where racial tensions seem to be at the worst that I can remember.

Actually I don't because I didn't make an analogy.

Oh, he was more than the boogeyman.

But I wasn't referring to Trump as Franco.....I was referring to political leaning of the average civilian. Y'all think everybody to the left of the furthest point right on the line is this big homogenous bloc called "the left", and that everybody on the left believes in fantasy positions.

It's a rather exceedingly dumb exaggeration. Whereas you can make a strong case that Trump and his supporters closely resemble your average mid 1930s "strongman" regime, a Twitter campaign is in no way analogous to the devastation which occurred on Kristallnacht and later on.

So yes, I do have a high ground to stand on--- but rather than moral, it's intellectual.

And if a painting of the Confederate flag was hung in the Capital next to this painting would opinions change about it being ones first Amendment right ?

Why would we hang a painting of the flag of our nation's traitorous enemies in the Capitol building? That's treason, and it's not equivalent to a social protest painting.
