No one likes the taste of mountain house food, it is not daily food, it is survival rations that store for long periods of time. Lets say a massive hurricane hits fema takes weeks to do anything, and the stores were raided on day one, but you have your crappy mountain house food and numerous cases of water, you stay fed.

Fyi they make non meat based dried, freeze dried and canned food, so prepping can be for vegans too.

I have seen a little of this but the main reason why many of us are buying is that the makers and dealers stocked up in anticipation of Hillary winning and causing a run on the stuff she wanted to ban (AR 15s, AK style rifles-and normal capacity Glock and other 15+ magazines) and with the LB losing, those retailers are offering great deals on their excess stock. an example-hte normal cost for Lancer AR 15 magazines (probably the best on the market IMHO) was 17-19 dollars. I picked about 10 for 120 bucks a week ago and a less popular color of the same magazine has been marked down to 9.95.

an AR 15 9mm Carbine made by "Palmetto State Armory" in SC (it has lots of FnH military contract parts) was selling for 985 in most dealers 6 months ago. I bought a lower from PSA (sent to my dealer) for 215 and a compete top from the same place for 419 and after shipping and paying my dealer a few bucks for handling the paperwork, for 675 I had a better rifle than the complete one I bought 6 months ago (the upper I just bought had a key-mod free float hand guard rather than the basic military hand guard that the first one had which is normally about a 100 dollar upgrade.

so lots of us who are serious shooters are taking advantage of the excess stock lots of dealers and makers built up

I think we have discussed this numerous times. I shoot with plenty of liberals. Liberals arent the problem...never have been. Its the mindless leftists that have always been the problem.

Some progressives do own firearms, got a good deal of their experience with them while in the harness and have a few scars to remind them of that experience.

Some on the rabid right seem to think ALL to the left of their POV are in lockstep and hold exactly the same ideas on most subjects...

Oh and on the deficit thing, Trump and the GOP have made the 'run away' debt a big issue, it will be interesting if they do more than minor 'reductions' to spending or really attack and reduce the total debt. Difficult to see how the debt is cut while we make America great again with rather pricey military spending...oh and that Wall thing could be costly if Mexico doesn't pay for it.

Alex Jones and Infowars does not even come close to legitimate news - it is bull**** personal opinions by a psycho nut case.

To base a thread on this garbage indicates that the basic premise of the OP is bull**** because of being based upon bull****, and should not be considered by rational people.
