A former Army recruiter from San Antonio has admitted he funneled dozens of assault rifles to operatives of Mexico’s Gulf Cartel last year by organizing other soldiers to help him buy the weapons.
Sgt. Julian Prezas, who is facing a disciplinary discharge from the military, pleaded guilty in two separate cases Monday to a total of five counts of lying on federal firearms forms and attempting to export defense articles to Mexico.

It saddens me to see people like this, doing what they do.

Wow, Mickey, good find for once. I hope the traitor rots. Anyone selling our weapons to non-allies (from the top down) deserves long long sentences.

No, it's all trump's fault. If he hadn't promised to build the wall, then this guy wouldn't have had to take shortcuts to selling these guns and this crime wouldn't have happened.

Good point.
I'm already starting to enjoy the Trump reign.
I think his election has elevated speculation and innuendo to new heights.
What fun!!

$61k for 5 AR's and/or AK's? That's one hell of a profit margin!

It's kind of funny that his lawyer says he didn't understand the regulations regarding the purchase and sale of firearms but the dirtball intentionally used straw buyers so it's pretty obvious that he understood just fine.

Yes indeed.

Just like the many bad cops who exist everywhere.

I haven't met many bad cops. How many have you met and under what circumstances? Care to share?

Bad people show up in all walks of life. Most of the ones that I'm familiar with, are criminals and liberal politicians.

Non-allies?

From Iran-Contra to Dark Alliance, the record is pretty darn clear that various drug cartels ARE allies and pawns of our own drug-running CIA.

The sergeant was just trying to get a little bit of that dinero generated by our own foolish federal policy.
