On Wednesday, U.S. Border Patrol Chief Mark Morgan testified in front of the Senate Homeland Security Committee regarding the conditions on the southern border with Mexico.

During Morgan’s opening statement, he painted an unpleasant picture of what U.S. Border Patrol agents face every day.

“One thing was consistent and abundantly clear. The men and women of the U.S. Border Patrol have one of the toughest jobs in federal law enforcement,” Morgan said during the hearing.

That's a major reason I am against a wall. I have a feeling if the wall somehow does get started, a lot of innocent people are going to pay the price. Those drugs are going to get here somehow.

The Mexicans have plenty of their own drugs. The cartels are billionaires from pushing their drugs on us so I don't think they are concerned about drugs leaving the US more like getting their product into the US at any cost.

The cartels exist ONLY because of US legislation beginning with the Harrison Narcotic Act of 1914.

Before that, there were no drug gangs, no drug cartels. The average American does not understand the very predictable dynamics of prohibition.
