What makes this case a remarkable one to you? Well, at least on a personal basis.

I don't think remarkable is the right term. Outrageous brutality is occurring all over the US, and people just say.....ya...so?

I'd say that's being a bit short-sighted.

Brutality is occurring all around the world. In fact, the gentleman murdered, he was probably substantially less brutally killed than the majority of the types of people's deaths we see reported happening in the middle east, or say by cartels in Mexico. It's often reported that North Koreans are frequently tortured to death by the directives of their "insane, pyschopath dictator".

While it's a damn shame that this elderly man was murdered, and it is probably a reflection on a portion of our society's moral compass in some undefinable way, but again, in my opinion, his death, being one of many on a daily basis, isn't really all that remarkable.

You of course are correct, in most of your comment. But........I'm thinking that he would object to that, if he could still talk.

Wouldn't all most all people object whose death was at the control, and by hands of other, and not their own?

Sadly, predators prey on the old in our society. My hope is they find this asshole (or assholes) and fry him/them, or let them rot without parole.

It's true, if you live alone you're a target, so find ways to protect yourself.

Sure, but victimizing the elderly, is particularly heinous!

Correct.

We had a guy in my county a while back who was 92. During a home invasion by two young punks, he shot and killed one and wounded the other, who was later apprehended by the police.

Intelligent and logical people encourage that kind of action....when liberals hear this, they just pee their panties.
