Sandy Hook Families Appeal Dismissal of Lawsuit Against Gun Company

Here is yet another example of Mickey presenting a hateful, ignorant right wing hack. Mickey exploits a tragedy... a 16 year old dying in a car accident... just to make an idiotic, scumbag comment pushing his stupid anti-liberal agenda. AND... Mickey, as usual, proves just how dishonest he is by stating that the kid is a liberal without even knowing. People who use tragedies to further their agenda are nothing but hacks and should be disregarded as such.

I exploited no one. The kid died....can't be exploited for any reason. It's a true story.
I merely rebutted a poster's question with an example. Why can't you act like an adult here and stop the bias?

The appeal is a waste of taxpayer money. Gun manufacturers, gun dealers, ammunition makers/dealers hold zero responsibility for Sandy Hook. Adam Lanza is solely responsible.

Absolutely correct! :applaud

The families of some victims of the Sandy Hook Elementary School shooting are appealing a Connecticut court's dismissal of their lawsuit against arms manufacturer Remington, which made the Bushmaster assault-style rifle used in the massacre.

"The loss of 20 first-graders and six educators would shake any community to its core,” the appeal stated. "Ours had to grapple with the manner in which those lives were lost."
Sandy Hook Families Appeal Dismissed Lawsuit Against Gun Company - ABC News

My bet is the court dismissed the case because it knows that if it had allowed the case, normal process of discovery would have followed.

If the normal process of discovery had followed, the sham story of Sandy Hook would have been officially exposed. I've been predicting this outcome since they suit was brought.

The fairly recent event at Brodhead High School in Wisconsin, written about in the Washington Post by Amy Wang on November 1, demonstrates that without a doubt, parents and students WILL tell lies and deceive their fellow students, to advance an agenda. In that case the agenda was that texting while driving is bad, a fact I completely agree with.

The agenda advanced at Sandy Hook was gun control.

Of course. And we must fight these clowns with every ounce of our being, for as long as we live.

Oh would you just stop with your CT nonsense. There was is a section just for that BS. Why do you need to bring that crap into every other section.

I just call it as I see it. Seeing how Eugene is a liberal city, logic dictates that it's highly probable. Most kids nowadays are being inundated by liberalism from their uber liberal union teachers and uber liberal parents.

Just another unsubstantiated opinion that you claim and post as a fact... and use to laugh at the tragedy of a 16 year old dying. Tell me, is that in the right wing hack playbook? Laugh at or care less about kids that die if you believe that they are of the opposite political persuasion as you?

Of course you exploited. You, with no evidence, claimed that a kid who was a liberal, died trying to avoid a squirrel in the road. You did that to push your hateful anti-liberal agenda and mocked his death. This is not the first time that you have exploited the death of a child just to push your right wing hack agenda. Tell me, is this part of the right wing hack playbook, or is it just you who does this?

Poor baby! So often the truth is shocking, eh Drained?

Actually, keep your CT crap confined to the CT Forum. Here, it is off topic.

I am glad the courts came to the right decision. I have been losing faith in our courts. People need to take responsibility for their actions and working towards fixing the real problem is the only way to prevent these tragedies. We need to put as much if not more emphasis on mental health as we do Physical health. The biggest hurdle is the fact that getting mental help usually will end someones job and career.

Startled by a squirrel? Get real! There was a passenger in the car, who only received minor injuries and said that this kid would never harm, an animal....So no....it was not reflex. liberalism transcends all walks of life. There's stupid and then there is liberal stupid.
I can counter your anecdote with one of my own. I'm driving home round 3AM after swing shift in Saxmundham England. The fastest route home is the farm roads but they are narrow and winding. I'm about to turn a corner when right in the middle of the road sits a huge ass bunnyrabbit. I instinctively pulled to the right but on this road that meant I was already on an embankment and that put me into a spin. I corrected, spun the wheel hard, came back down into the road and up the left embankment a little bit before I had scrubbed off enough speed to be able to control the car and finally got the car back on the road and under control. I stopped, took a few deep breaths, and then carried on. The next morning I went back to the base with my wife and kids to do some grocery shopping and we stopped where I had initiated the spin. You could see by the tire marks and damage to the bushes on the curbs that I had missed a tree on the right side during the initial spin by about 4 inches. Another 2 feet forward and I would have wrapped my ugly little British Morris Marina around that tree.

Point is...I was a career military man raised by a bunch of old navy chiefs. I hunt. I fish. I consider myself a Kennedy Democrat which means I am fiscally conservative, strong on defense and personal responsibility, and also socially liberal. And I could have died because in the moment I got startled at the sudden appearance of a bunny rabbit.

My lesson was learned. From that point forward, never swerve. I hit many a rabbit and many a pheasant after that. The pheasant strikes were pretty spectacular. you hear the thump and then all you see behind you is a cloud of feathers.

I dont think you have to be a liberal to make the mistake you described the kid as making.

Great story. Point taken.

Now, this is a bit off topic, but a good story.
Some years ago, a fellow worker wanted to buy a new Honda Prelude, with certain options and in red. The dealer here told him that they didn't have any red ones but there was one on the coast that they could go retrieve the next day.
He told them that his girl friend lived out that way and asked if it would be alright if he just went to her house and had her drop him at the dealer on the coast and he would drive it back to do the paperwork. They agreed.
The next morning, he picked up the car and was driving inland. At the 15 mile marker, a huge buck ran across in front of him and he struck it. The deer came partially thru the windshield and than flopped on the road and got up and ran off. The new Prelude was totaled.
He was ok....the airbag worked.
After a week of negotiations, the dealer finally agreed to cover the car under their insurance, since he was merely a courier at that point and had not signed any ownership papers. A new one was ordered which took an additional 3 weeks. He was/is a Republican and took the deer head on! Haaaaaaaa!

Yes they did. However, the tobacco companies were sued for a number of things, such as lying in their advertising saying that tobacco was good for you and that doctors recommended their brand over others, as well as the fact that they artificially increased the amount of nicotine in the tobacco so that people became addicted to their product. No gun manufacturer is saying that guns won't harm or kill living things if they are fired at a living thing, nor are any gun manufacturers adding chemicals to their guns making them addictive to where once you fire one, you are physically and mentally addicted to it for life with adverse health affects to your own self.

This would be like suing a car manufacturer for anyone that drove one of their cars while being mentally unstable and killed someone or a bunch of people with the car.

Nowwww... I don;t know about that. I don;t seem to be able to stop buying them... and if I continue to put gunsafes in the bedrooms..... my wife says it might affect my health....
