Sandy Hook Families Appeal Dismissal of Lawsuit Against Gun Company

liberals are people who would rather crash their car than run over a squirrel. No politics involved.

You have stats on that? No, you say? Yeah... completely political.

When I actually attract a liberal to one of my classes, they are forever addicted to how much enjoyment they can get from shooting. :)

They don't like it at first, sign up out of a sense of need or fear and find out that it's a lot of fun and the evil tool is not evil at all.

That reminded me of my struggle as a teenager, when I was out late on a date... that the young ladies were reacting based on what their mother had told them out of a sense of ... fear and find out that it's a lot of fun and the evil tool is not evil at all.

Oh wait, we were still talking about guns.

Oh by all means. A 16 year old boy from Eugene, Or. comes to mind. About 3 years ago, he was driving his car down a street in Eugene, a squirrel crossed the street and he drove off the road to keep from running over the squirrel and ran into a tree, killing himself! That's a liberal for ya.

I had the the exact same experience when I had my first car at 16. I never moved the steering wheel, but did touch the brakes slightly. Too late, dead squirrel. I heard it's head crunch under the tire and looked in my side mirror to see it bounce on the the yellow center line, where it came to rest. I felt bad. But there is no way that I will crash my car, to avoid an animal.
Thanks for asking. I'm sure I can come up with many more examples....but why should I bother.

No...completely unpolitical!

...and yo uknow that this kid was a "liberal" how?

liberals don't use common sense.

See? There it is. You are making it political for no reason. Instead of feeling bad that a kid died you mock him .

I'm not mocking him at all. I feel bad that this kid had been brainwashed in school or at home, to sacrifice himself before killing an animal.
Driving off the road to avoid hitting a squirrel, is not inherited...it's taught!

No, do keep going I want to hear the rest, you're leaving us hanging here:mrgreen:

And now you go all-in.
For all the hours you've put into this place, you're still not very good at this.

The families feel guilty that they couldn't keep them safe. It is illogical but very common after a tragic death, especially a kid. "I should have been there" type thoughts. ;) I've dealt with notifications of many deaths over the years and have experienced this first hand!

So you meant to say guilt? You meant they were trying have their guilt 'assuaged' with money?
This is your last chance, understand. You can still say you meant 'grief', that they sought to have their grief assuaged but the word 'guilt' was on your mind because of the court case.
And please, one favour- can we have a day go by without being told that your LEO experience means that you know more about the subject than anyone else? Can we?

He has explained it, survivors often feel guilt when it comes to someone they feel they should be a protector of such as a child. There are several ways of dealing with it, blame everyone else, blame yourself, or do something that would prevent or at minimize such a awful thing from occurring again. I personally would be pushing for armed security on all our schools campuses, trained people that can deal with the situation until law enforcement arrives to take over the scene. Would you be against that as a measure to keep our children safe?

In your place, probably not.
But he said that those parents were hoping to win a bunch of money in a lawsuit to assuage their guilt. Does that sound likely to you? And remember, it's just him saying so. Me, I call bullsh*t.

My LEO experience, Does Not Mean I have more experience than anyone else. If I conveyed that false immpression, my apologies. But, it does mean that I have been involved in these kinds of situations many times. Mostly for vehicular accidents, other accidents, suicides ...and murders.

It's just me saying so on here, so far.
I checked with a couple of my friends in the mental healthcare business and they fully agreed with me. I'm sorry to hear that you are having such difficulty understanding plain English.

Couldn't possibly be that he was simply startled and jerk the wheel accidentally... no way. He crashed because of his political affiliation... at 16 years old.

I would ask you to rethink your comment...

Parents would not feel guilt about their kid dying while at school. It would be grief. They did all that they could to put their kid in a safe space. Guilt would be if they took their kid into the ocean knowing they aren't that good at swimming and the kid drowns. His scenario they would feel grief.

Startled by a squirrel? Get real! There was a passenger in the car, who only received minor injuries and said that this kid would never harm, an animal....So no....it was not reflex. liberalism transcends all walks of life. There's stupid and then there is liberal stupid.

Uh-huh... with every post you affirm your partisan stance that everything is political with you.

There you go spouting lies and spewing hatred again.

The families of some victims of the Sandy Hook Elementary School shooting are appealing a Connecticut court's dismissal of their lawsuit against arms manufacturer Remington, which made the Bushmaster assault-style rifle used in the massacre.

"The loss of 20 first-graders and six educators would shake any community to its core,” the appeal stated. "Ours had to grapple with the manner in which those lives were lost."
Sandy Hook Families Appeal Dismissed Lawsuit Against Gun Company - ABC News
What is the theory for suing Remington? Did Remington directly sell the gun to the shooter? I don't see how the company can be liable just for manufacturing a gun it is currently legal to manufacture, no matter how foreseeable deaths may have been or how unnecessary private possession of such weapons is.

Nope, it isn't. There is common sense ................and no sense. Politics has nothing to do with it.

You lie. Cannot be proven. Just your vitriol and constant hatred.

You cannot prove otherwise yourself. And for the umpteenth time...I do not hate, I spew no hate and hating isn't happening with me.
Too bad you cannot accept that ...........or comprehend it either! :screwy

There you go spouting lies and spewing hatred again.

So, since I'm ignoring your BS elsewhere, you came back to harass me here?

No lies, no hatred and yes some well deserved vitriol for liberals. :2razz:

Especially those with limited vocabularies.

Here is yet another example of Mickey presenting a hateful, ignorant right wing hack. Mickey exploits a tragedy... a 16 year old dying in a car accident... just to make an idiotic, scumbag comment pushing his stupid anti-liberal agenda. AND... Mickey, as usual, proves just how dishonest he is by stating that the kid is a liberal without even knowing. People who use tragedies to further their agenda are nothing but hacks and should be disregarded as such.

I just call it as I see it. Seeing how Eugene is a liberal city, logic dictates that it's highly probable. Most kids nowadays are being inundated by liberalism from their uber liberal union teachers and uber liberal parents.

The appeal is a waste of taxpayer money. Gun manufacturers, gun dealers, ammunition makers/dealers hold zero responsibility for Sandy Hook. Adam Lanza is solely responsible.
