Even as President-elect Donald Trump vows to immediately deport 2 to 3 million undocumented immigrants when he takes office in January, Mayor Rahm Emanuel is reaffirming Chicago’s commitment as a so-called “sanctuary city.”

“To be clear about what Chicago is, it always will be a sanctuary city,” the mayor said Monday.

Emanuel sought to reassure those worried about Trump’s interview on “60 Minutes,” in which he said he plans to immediately deport or incarcerate up to 3 million undocumented immigrants who have criminal records.

I hope that any city that flaunts US law by giving illegal aliens services as if they are citizens, allow them to live openly without fear of legal repercussion for being in this country illegally, and advertise that they are a place of sanctuary for illegal aliens, should have all federal funding removed from their city immediately.

Don't want to be part of the US when it comes to immigration law? Fine, then you don't get to use any tax money from the rest of the country that does.

I saw a video of this idiot's declaration of keeping Chicago a Sanc City earlier today on Fox News. That moron actually said the city was "safe" and "secure"....and he said it with a straight face! Almost 700 dead from homicides so far this year, but this dickless says the city is "safe"!

I don't see how flaunting federal law, giving sanctuary to criminals, is the American thing to do, per the Seattle mayor.

Raum knows that what you propose is not doable under current law.

Trump wants to deport illegals. He just can't understand why he can't Lord over municipal Police departments. Explain that to him, would you please?
