How can Trump avoid Trump U from becoming impeachable?

It should be pretty obvious that Trump's hands are dirty. Who has ideas about how Trump can take his lumps on this without it rising to the level of being impeachable?

It is a civil suit not a criminal one.
 
He is already scurrying to do two things:
1- negotiate some kind of settlement, and if that falls short
2- delay the actual trial to remove this from the headlines and front pages
 
By picking someone like Mike Pence to be his VP. I'm starting to see the brilliance in the move. Even if the Republicans wanted to impeach, I doubt the Democrats would convict. And you need 2/3 of the Senate to convict.

Maybe he is. It is even probable that he does have dirt on his hands and it would be nice to find out. Considering that the Democrats were in power and Obama is, what he is and wanted desperately that Clinton win.... Nope.I doubt there is any evidence.

Since it stems from his private business and is a civil suit, and has nothing to do with the affairs of this country, I can't see how it's impeachable at all.

You would think an impeachable offense would have to take place while in office, not before. Plus, this doesn't strike me as a 'high crime' anyway.

As long as it stays in the civil courts there is nothing they could impeach him for, even if it went to criminal court I doubt they would remove him, heck with the alternative (VP) the Dems would save him from being removed.
