Re: wtf?! Parents Of Armed Robber Question Why Pizza Hut Employee Shot Michael Grace

thanks for the offer, TD, but i would be cautious about being around you with a loaded weapon after our exchanges here ... especially since you know all the cops, judges, lawyers, and DA's in that area

j/k, i do thank you for the offer, but will stick with the compound bow for right now. however, i do plan on buying some of the cartridges you suggested in place of my remaining economy model remingtons

LOL I am a professional archery coach too. What sort of compound bow.

Parents Of Armed Robber Question Why Pizza Hut Employee Shot Michael Grace Jr. - Blue Lives Matter

poor widdle armed robber got shot in the head after pulling a gun on restaurant employees. i can understand the parents grieving the loss of their son, but NOT blaming their son's victim for defending himself against their son committing armed robbery
wonder where their son got the idea his malicious actions should be found acceptable

Grief isn't rational. I don't agree with his parents, but I get it.

Re: wtf?! Parents Of Armed Robber Question Why Pizza Hut Employee Shot Michael Grace

I seen this, the parents need to be shot in the ass for this nonsense...

At least the parents have an excuse. How about the idiot members of the press who give them a soap box to argue that employees shouldn't have the right to arm themselves, lest they shoot an upstanding family violent criminal?

Re: wtf?! Parents Of Armed Robber Question Why Pizza Hut Employee Shot Michael Grace

I usually feel bad for the families, but I almost always take their sentiments with a grain of salt. It's a classic scenario where emotion clouds rational judgment, and the family is almost always way too close to the incident emotionally to be thinking clearly and rationally.

9/10 the family is in full support of the criminal family member and even provide support resources like housing and alibi.

Re: wtf?! Parents Of Armed Robber Question Why Pizza Hut Employee Shot Michael Grace

that's true. I shoot every week-at least. most under a time clock to impose stress. Heck if Justabubba wants to come to SW Ohio I'll give him the sort of training I normally get a couple hundred bucks for doing

on the house

that would be good for him. for anyone. (crap.. I shoot a lot and I would have fun shooting with you!. too bad we are too far apart).

Though I like that more new folks are getting into firearms.. it concerns me a bit the lack of training that these folks have. I started learning firearms as a 4-5 year old. The gun safety habits are drilled in HARD.

So hard.. I hate going to gun shows that put that stupid zip tie around a firearm because I cannot automatically check the magazine/chamber.. the minute I handle it.. nor can I watch the dealer check it. Makes me so dang uncomfortable that I won;t even pick one up unless I am interested enough for them to take the zip tie off.

Anyway.. those lessons are in there and they are in there for my sons. These folks that never grew up being trained in firearms that are now adults.. that think they know everything (from a magazine or blog or whatever), getting into firearms has me concerned a little bit. That last thing we need is some of these folks take whats actually really safe if you follow simple rules.. have accidents because of their own lack of knowledge.

Just to jump in here. I think you mean to be joking here...

TD, but i would be cautious about being around you with a loaded weapon after our exchanges here ...

but I don't think you realize just how Amazingly offensive a gun owner with TD's experience in guns would find that comment. I was offended when I read it but on further thought.. figured you were joking.

Gun owners like TD and I don't find even joking around about guns and shooting people funny. We have that much respect for what a firearm can do.. and we have had that ingrained in us from a very early age.

I have a lot of respect for the courage shown by this employee, and hope Pizza Hut not only doesn't fire him, but helps him against any race-baiting law suits. Give the man a raise.

I had some basic gun training while I was in LA (due to the threats my uncle's businesses were getting from a certain racial / political group). I had trouble shooting targets at the friggin' indoor gun range ('cause I'm a ****ty shooter, sigh). The power of even some basic handgun shocked the crap outta me the first time I fired live ammo. I can't imagine myself shooting a dog, let alone a human being (maybe if push came to shove and I really had to, hope I'll never know), but this guy calmly hit a headshot, shooting a criminal and possibly saving his coworkers and his own life as well. Mad props.

Re: wtf?! Parents Of Armed Robber Question Why Pizza Hut Employee Shot Michael Grace

i don't like the idea of killing other people, but self defense is self defense. The criminal initiated aggression, and when you threaten the lives of others, they have the right to respond to protect their lives. It's sad, but he shouldn't have been robbing the place and the mother should have done a better job raising her kid if she didn't want this to have happened.

I feel bad for the Pizza Hut employee, even when in the right, taking a human life isn't (or shouldn't be, anyway) an easy thing to live with.

Well said.

I hate crime, and the little thugs that run around doing it, but I am also sad that their lives have turned that way to begin with.

They............... was me back in the early 70's

"I am somebody", Say it loud, I'm black and I'm proud", "Black lives matter", perhaps the black leaders should realize actions make changes, not silly little rhymes. Eight years of a black president did what for black America?
