Riots: 70% Arrested Have Out Of State IDs...

If one were actually interested in what is taking place in Charlotte, I might think they would take the time to read the local media and not another right wing blog.

I wonder if this police union rep is a Trump supporter

Those arrested during protest: Most local, most without criminal records

Then there is the fact that protests continue but the violence is disappearing -- Fourth night of protests remains peaceful

The violence is dissappearing because the National Guard was called out, as they should've been the first night.

It just wouldn't be an election without mentioning Soros, the right wings favorite boogie man. lol

But I don't doubt that protesters were bused in....since the Koch's did the same thing for the tea party protests. But the evidence connecting Soros to BLM seems kind of weak.

How many Tea Party protests ended up with businesses looted, police officers & innocent bystanders seriously injured and property burned?

Can we all just agree that Soros and the Koch brothers cancel out in some way so nobody has to talk about them? I think everybody dislikes big money at this point.

Big money and big government are all the same. Corrupt as can be and commingled. You want to help your community? Keep the Feds out and think local.

But, of course, it's actually not. It's from one guy, a union rep, who doesn't work in the jail or central booking, and he's throwing out a guesstimate. That's simply not definitive to anyone rational. Which is likely why you accept it at face value.

Yawn. You'll forgive me if I have zero reason for believing you in your latest chapter of "Mickey's Law Enforcement Fables".

Again, I'm sorry you have no rational answer, but I've never seen one from you in any case.

Well, be obstinate then! No skin off my nose. The story in and of itself is a rational answer and post #22 states it even more succinctly.

Your extreme prejudice toward me and everything I post, is so noted. Doesn't matter one damn iota to me what you believe. Any further dialogue with you is pointless and a waste of my time.

You sure enjoy ragging on people, but that only leads to one conclusion in my book......

I would call setting trucks on fire and breaking store windows "nefarious intent" note the words, of people arrested 70% had out of state IDs, that is not a guess, it is verifiable data, if someone is arrested they will be identified and their personal effects inventoried. furthermore, one will only be arrested for breaking the law, people just out protesting don't get arrested.

Spot on! :thumbs::thumbs:

Oh, I'm fine with 70% if/when that is ever verified. But "I can about say probably 70% of those had out-of-state IDs." isn't something I'd hang my hat on without further data.

Greetings, Pero. :2wave:

Very well said! It's just unfortunate that spending billions to get a job that pays half a million dollars a year has become the norm, though, which effectively eliminates many good people who never have a chance! Tain't fair, Pero!

Lets see.... Tea Party protests vs. Rioting and vandalism....

Yep.

Same same.

Maybe it's not accurate, but it is believable, most decent people don't wreck things in a riot, and most non decent people have no incentive to trash their own community.
in the end it really doesn't matter, the type of violence we saw in Charlotte isn't justified even if the family of Mr. Scott was correct, but it was not, the family outright LIED they said Scot was reading a book minding his own business and got shot by racist police officers, and that he didn't even own a gun. turns out he was a carrying a gun illegally and not allowed to own one because of convictions, he was acting aggressively towards a black police officer with an unblemished record, he has violent past convictions, etc.

The rioters need to be charged and sent to prison, and frankly the DA in North Carolina should be scouring the books and charging the relative that told that false story about the book with everything that will stick for her role in inciting a riot.

Well, to my experience. having worked a few protests that came close but never turned into outright riots, it's young people who tend to trash things up, whether from out of town or not.

And, no, that doesn't amount to inciting a riot, by any measure. She may have actually thought that was the case, and merely been mistaken.

Confirming what many had suspected when viewing the sudden and intense collapse into anrchy that occurred in Charlotte this week, Todd Walther, spokesman for the Charlotte-Mecklenburg Fraternal Order of Police told CNN's Erin Burnett:

"This is not Charlotte that's out here. These are outside entities that are coming in and causing these problems. These are not protestors, these are criminals."
Who Is Behind The Riots? Charlotte Police Says 70% Of Arrested Protesters Had Out Of State IDs | Zero Hedge

there was no collapse into anarchy. more right wing bull pucky. out of towners were at the WTO riots in seattle and recently in baton rouge. nothing new here.

Well maybe some time to air out in jail will make her decide to wait for facts before running her mouth next time. She made specific claims of fact that were wrong. she probably knew they were wrong when she made them, at the very least she didn't know them to be true since the truth was 180 degrees off from what she said.

We can make reasonable assumptions based on how the facts turned out, we can reasonably assume she didn't witness the shooting, we can reasonably assume her story was created, because who would she have gotten that information from? what was her source? I don't think she had one. so then what was the motivation? there's only one rational motivation to create a story out of whole cloth like she did, and that was to create unrest.

Great link, but I wish I hadn't read it! Why? Because seven out of every ten hard-working Americans are earning less than $30,000 a year and struggling paycheck to paycheck; there are over 47 million on food stamps; and I don't know the number who are on rent assistance just to have a roof over their head. All of those people aren't lazy, Pero! They just need help. No wonder there is such discontent with our government - it's warranted!

Interesting. Shown to be wrong and attempt to steer away from the topic of the thread. A topic which turned out to be fake - not unexpected

That makes exactly zero sense. If she said she saw what she thought she saw, albeit she was genuinley mistaken, why would jail figure into this?
She made specific claims of fact that were wrong. she probably knew they were wrong when she made them, at the very least she didn't know them to be true since the truth was 180 degrees off from what she said.

This is what rational people call 'bull****'. She 'probably knew they were wrong'? Really? What indicates that?

From what you just posted, I don't think you should be referencing 'reasonabley' any time soon.

I suppose we can, when the Tea Party Protests have the arrests and violence generated by the leftist-sponsored "protests" whether the sponsors are George Soros or the DOJ.

Given the response in #39, I think you're safe to reference "reasonably" any time. Just don't reference "reasonabley". That's not a word.

because the video is out from the wife, and it does not show a compliant man reading a book. there is no way anyone can look at that situation and say it was an innocent man being hounded by authoritarian cops for reading a book. this isn't 1845, a black man in 2016 can legally read a book, and the police will not hassle him for it.

This is what rational people call 'bull****'. She 'probably knew they were wrong'? Really? What indicates that?

as I said, the story she told was invented out of whole cloth, this isn't a "he said she said" there is video evidence of what occured, we can safely conclude there is no way anyone watching the video the NYT aired can conclude he was minding his own business with no gun reading a book. furthermore she knew or reasonably should have known that a story of an unarmed man shot while reading a book would cause unrest. it is basically shouting "fire" in a crowded theatre.

From what you just posted, I don't think you should be referencing 'reasonabley' any time soon.

I lost the spelling bee, oh darn.

No we can't. Soros is trying to end the USA and make it a third world workers paradise. The Koch family is about improving Americans industrial base and creating better jobs.

For some, reality takes second place to what the media wishes to report. There are still those who believe the small child, Michael Brown, had his hands in the air begging the police officer to not shoot when he was killed.

The police could be a bit more proactive in prosecuting those who file false reports, and bear false witness to the media that results in riots and/or looting. You just can't stand up there and say "I saw such and such" on live TV when you know it was not the truth, then stand back laughing as people riot against injustice based on what you said.

However, this seems to be a systemic national problem.

You are right that it is a national systemic problem.

However, the problem isn't with the police culture, as much as it is the "thug" culture.

I mean, seriously.... its a system problem that police defend themselves against armed felons refusing to obey orders to disarm????? You call that a systemic problem... I call that the right to self defense.

I guess the left just doesn't think police officers have the right to self defense.

Now, go ahead, roll in with the "But he could have been this.... or that.... or the other.... "

None of those "he could have been" scenarios are worth losing officers over.

A union rep?

Police unions are NOT authorized in the state of North Carolina. I should know, I was a cop here for 7 years.

So maybe you should know wtf you are talking about.... you know... BEFORE you speak.

Evening Pol, don't you just love it when these folks making more than a million a year tell us we don't have it bad. That things are going good. It is those making 30,000 or less that pays the taxpayer portion of his salary. To include expenses, his party fund, for Air Force One, for pretty much everything outside of his book royalties.

there was no collapse into anarchy. more right wing bull pucky. out of towners were at the WTO riots in seattle and recently in baton rouge. nothing new here.

In that area of town, it had collapsed into anarchy. Hoodlums and thugs were destroying property and assaulting people with impunity.

7 out of 10 ? Are you sure about that? Everyone I knew in my town had exceeded $30k by 1990....and we are a poorer area of Oregon.

In the SF Bay Area, where I worked as a delivery driver, then in a cop job, my co workers and I broke $30k in the 80s......

No we can't. Soros is trying to end the USA and make it a third world workers paradise. The Koch family is about improving Americans industrial base and creating better jobs.

Exactly correct. Soros is a negative and the Koch brothers are a positive, for America.

For some, reality takes second place to what the media wishes to report. There are still those who believe the small child, Michael Brown, had his hands in the air begging the police officer to not shoot when he was killed.

There are a lot of those "mush for brains" liberals out there.....................and on here.

Yep, I really love listening to them trying to fool the masses - who never get to go on vacation, since they can't afford it and they don't have anyone providing the money for them to go - with :bs until it's time to vote them into office again and again, ad nauseum! Then they make promises they probably won't keep about improving things, and thus the game continues while we keep going downhill as a Country and our debt keeps increasing.

What I don't agree with is making our law enforcement people the bad guys, which further stokes the anger. I understand that there are probably bad apples in the LEO barrel, just as there are in any job description, but is that any excuse for the destruction of property of innocent people that takes place? H*** No! I blame some of our leaders for what is taking place, because they are fanning the flames of hatred and violent discontent in many cases to keep trouble stirred up at all times to hide their own agenda of scrapping our Constitution and Bill of Rights which has protected all of us for over 200 years, just to herd us into a one-world-government which will benefit only the world's elite, and not the masses! *shaking head in disgust*
