Police departments need to stop putting law breaking Cops on paid leave. If I was Chief I'd tell them all that any future leave or suspension will be unpaid. That should straighten out a few of them.

I'm good with paid administrative leave. I still believe in "innocent until proven guilty". As long as they are still held criminally accountable, and as long as any investigation and charges (if any) are above board and timely... and I'm talking no more than 60 days. I see no reason why a determination cannot be made within 60 days. Cleared, reprimand, dismissal and/or charges, just do it and be public about what happens and why.

With all due respect, this happens all the time to minorities, except it's not recorded. I myself have spoken about such incidents on this very forum. I've seen this happen to my friends and family. Where cops just sit there talking about what kind of charges are going to be fabricated after the fact. I don't understand the shock and surprise people are showing. Many people myself included, have gone at length about the things cops do and it's always dismissed as "don't do the crime if you can't do the time". Thin blue line and all that from the typical cop apologists.

"NEVER IN MY DARKEST DAYS WOULD I IMAGINE SOMETHING LIKE THIS IN MY LIFETIME" ~~~~ WHITE CIVIL RIGHTS ACTIVIST.
"IT WAS TUESDAY SO THAT MAKES THREE TIMES THIS MONTH"~~~~ MINORITY IN ANY RANDOM CITY IN AMERICA.

Your joking right? Cops are hardly ever convicted of anything. The clowns who opened fire on a couple of ladies delivering newspapers in LA were found to have not done anything wrong, do you think these clowns are going to be charged for trumping up a few charges? That is just normal behavior for cops, all of them do it every day.

You have evidence that is as good as a witness, plus the cop turned it on accidentally himself, inferring permission depending on the needs of the state.

Great. Another lesson that should have been learned by now is never protest the cops while you are alone. Have others there that can record too... if you are alone it is best to not do anything that could be perceived as anti-cop anything.

The government is above the law, the cops are the government. On occasion they will sacrifice a token to use as propaganda that the system works, but that is 1 in 1000.
The government are the kings, the people are farm animals.

What would you think if a loved one was killed by the drunk driver who took a different way home because of this "protesters" warning?

Except it's not the same. You're loved one did absolutely nothing wrong, this "protester" kept the police from arresting the drunk driver.

The only person who did anything wrong in your made up scenario is the drunk driver. And the only people who did anything wrong in the real life scenario that actually happened were the cops who were fabricating a case.

Wow, they were caught with their pants down, LOL. Scheming bastards, and that's how it works too many times. Good on the ACLU for bringing this out into the open.

Covering their ass is all they are interested in. CYA was taught to me by the US Army. Cops follow suit.

An infinite number things things can alter a timeline just a few minutes or seconds and anything can be changed. For all you know, you're still alive because of one of them.
