Yelp warns California lawsuit could scrub critical reviews

I have to wonder why people think defamation laws are not a violation of someones rights. From what I gather the laws are essentially arguing that people have a right to a good reputation, but I can't see how that claim has any validity.

I think the argument is that people have a right to a true reputation, be it good or bad.

I don't like the fact that I can't do business with anyone these days that doesn't beg me to write a positive review. That and surveys. I really do have better ways to spend my time. I'm not writing anymore feedbacks or surveys. Speaking of feedback, didn't ebay start all of this ****?

I'm with you on that. Leave me alone. If I want to write a review, I'll write a review.
