Because I don't know and saw that somewhere, I'm starting a thread on it.

Something something for the oil

Knock off the BS.

You are so full of ignorance.
I literally said I don't know, so there's no BS here at all.

This is more a case of "I heard this somewhere and am wondering what the hell and if it's true."

There's no official report on that, but you can bet that various intelligence communities will be taking advantage of this opportunity.

Yes, Venezuela is an oil rich country, and yes, it's oil that we want. We were already getting it through IMF usury before Maduro came to power.

Sure you did! :lamo
Go read the OP again, if you doubt me.

I could perhaps have been more clear that the "something something for the oil" was in the nature of a half joke and half wondering if it was true because that was mentioned in what I heard as well.

I hope the US is behind it and I hope we level that ****hole. Venezuela deserves it.

It's a proud tradition in that part of the world, certainly.

Oh for **** sake...

Probably going to be pretty hard on a lot of Venezuelans, also. Did they earn it as well?

They sure did. Buncha America-hating mother****ers. Just rewards.

This is the same guy who goes full SJW whenever any POCs claim to be “oppressed”. Apparently getting blown up isn’t oppression.

You gonna cry?

Unless round 2 starts tomorrow the coup failed at noon, all but around 20 soldiers fleed to brazilian and other embassies for military defectors and the crowds for the us backed guy were small enough the had to zoom in and not show a distance shot to show how small they were. The opposition leaders mentor is hiding in the spanish embassy currently.

I figured thios much when it was reported this morning, The few military guys who joined the opposition got some small arms and military trucks from the air force base, but apparently were not smart enough to take some of the many armed mi-24 hinds sitting on the airfield. What uprising comes with a little over 100 troops with no real artiller armor or air support hoping others will join any minute now? This has to be the most poorly planned and worst executed coup ever.

Well... You're in a foul mood today aren't you?

but apparently were not smart enough to take some of the many armed mi-24 hinds sitting on the airfield.

It is unlikely due to lack of spare parts and probably even fuel that those things are operational.

It's been a couple days. And I hate Chavez.

Chavez was an asshole and Maduro is an asshole that deserves to die for what he's done to his people.

But there are good reasons why many people in South America do not like America as far as the American Government and its history of intervention is concerned.

America has committed, aided and abetted evil to further its own interests, its done good as well but you cannot expect everyone to look upon your country favorably, it has done bad things even if in some of those cases it thought it was doing the greater good.

Chavez spent his career bad mouthing the US. **** him and **** Venezuela.

This effort by the US has been going on for long months, so far to no avail. Pence, Bolton, Pompeo, Trump, Rubio and every single talking head on TV has been advocating the overthrow of yet another legitimate government that refuses to kiss Washington's arse. It's old news.

I doubt you live under a rock, but you seem oblivious to our government's efforts to overthrow governments.

Some say Erik Prince is now lobbying DJT to form up a 5000 man force to invade Venezuela.

Reliable information is hard to come by this morning.

It appears to me that little planning went into the Guaidó call for a [military] uprising.

Rule #1 - Take the national TV and radio station(s) [or disable their transmitters]. Not done.

Oh I was somewhat aware of all that, it's the specific events yesterday that I wasn't sure about.

Mr. Guaido and Mr. Lopez should be arrested for inciting mutiny in the Armed Forces, sedition and perhaps treason if foreign troops are found to be in Venezuela covertly. Then Maduro should be booted out by a lawful petition and recall-election in accordance with the constitution of Venezuela and should stand trial for corruption if a case can be made. Under no circumstances should the right-wing neo-liberal politicians like Lopez and Guiado be allowed to seize power unconstitutionally.

Cheers.
Evilroddy.
