And somebody showed me a picture of people picking through a garbage truck, presumably to find food to eat, though nobody was interviewed about why they were picking through the garbage truck.

People pick through dumpsters in this country too. Are you really that indoctrinated? Do you believe everything your government and its media tell you?

Russia will do all possible to prevent a U.S. military intervention in Venezuela, the state-run TASS news agency quoted the speaker of Russia's upper house of parliament as saying on Sunday. "We are very much concerned that the U.S. could carry out any provocations to shed blood, to find a cause and reasons for an intervention in Venezuela," Valentina Matvienko told Venezuelan Vice President Delcy Rodriguez in Moscow. "But we will do all in order not to allow this," said Matvienko, a close ally of President Vladimir Putin.

Matviyenko does this occasionally to burnish her "regime protector" reputation. Russia does not possess the military power-projection to be a major player here. Currently there are ~50 Russian mercenaries (Wagner) in-country acting as a bodyguard force for Venezuelan dictator Nicholas Maduro. Matviyenko is no friend of freedom. She authored last years draconian communications bills giving the Russian security forces total access to all Internet servers/accounts and outlawing all encryption apps on Russian territory.
 
Well, well, well. The New York Times is finally catching up to the rest of the world and is admitting that it was likely opposition protesters rather than the Venezuelan military which burned the aid trucks on the Columbian side of the frontier.

I wait with anticipation for the news stories reporting that the massive power outages across most of Venezuela were the result of cyber-attacks originating from America.

But what I really look forward to is the jailing of John Bolton, Elliott Abrams and VP Pence for war-crimes against the innocent people of Venezuela.

Well well well. The Maduro regime apparently only tried to violently prevent aid from coming in to aid their starving people. Apparently they were too incompetent to accomplish that.

So in other words you eagerly await a fantasy to justify your support for a man who has reduced Venezuela to a wreck and whose own people despise him. Noted.

What “war crimes” would those be?

See, here’s the thing about an international trial......you require actual evidence.

Not the ravings of a CT loon who likes to babble about “Jewish plots”

Not the state media of a hostile foreign power

Not the lies of whichever tinpot dictator is fashionable with the CT crowd this week.

Actual, legitimate evidence.
