Mexico says round-the-world cyclists were murdered - BBC News

Mexican investigators say two European cyclists did not die in an accident as first claimed - they were murdered.

The bodies of Holger Hagenbusch, from Germany, and Krzysztof Chmielewski, from Poland, were found at the bottom of a cliff in Chiapas state.

Local authorities had said the pair appeared to have fallen after losing control.

I used to enjoy weekending in Tijuana. No more Mexico for me.
 
Why anybody goes to hat ****hole is beyond me. I dont feel soory for anybody stupid enough to go to these dump countries.
 
The bold face lying about how they died, the fact that the Mexicans needed to be pressured into telling the truth, makes this even worse.

It is time for most of tourisms 16% of the GDP to go away, and for the Americans who retired there to come home.

I can get killed in Chicago just the same, I remember some German tourists took a wrong turn in Miami and got killed for it.

Got to know where to go and where to stay away from. I've enjoyed Mexico a number of times and will still.

I will explain it to you:
1) Freedom from gynocentrism
2) Friendly people
3) Low cost

It's all about risk and return. These unfortunate souls just happened to have gotten burned on the risk side. Back when I was single, I spent lots of time in some of the worst slums in Latin America. One place where you can SAFELY enjoy the Latin American experience is Cuba. Say what you will about the Cuban Communists, but at least they keep visitors safe.

Why? I will gladly assume the risk as an alternative to the ill tempered, uptight and unfriendly culture found in the USA and Canada. I thoroughly enjoy Latin America.

It is best to stay away from the war torn southern border.
