A student holds a placard during a protest to demand the safe return of three film students who went missing in
Guadalajara, Mexico. The placard reads, "It's not three, it's all of us."

MEXICO CITY -- Authorities in the western Mexico state of Jalisco said they believe three film students missing since last month were killed and dissolved in acid. The students were abducted March 19 on the outskirts of Guadalajara after working on a film project for school at a location that was apparently being watched by members of the Jalisco New Generation cartel. The students were taken to another location where one was beaten to death, authorities said at a news conference Monday. Then the other two were killed. Prosecutors said the bodies were taken to a third location, where investigators believe they were dissolved in sulfuric acid. "Their bodies were dissolved in acid so that no trace of them remained," the state prosecutors office said. Two men have been arrested and there are arrest orders for four others in the case, according to the Jalisco Attorney General's Office.

Mexico is extremely dangerous, and violence is high even in Mexico's most popular tourist destinations (due to various cartels seeking dominance in resort locations with high dollar volume).

Drug war is working well.

Do Americans realize that conservative estimates put the number of cartel members at half a million, many of whom cross the US/Mexico border daily? No need to put troops on the border though. That would only impede 'progress'.

Mexico is an absolute ****hole...

Mexico is an absolute ****hole...

Are you talking about the parts of Mexico that the USA stole from the Mexican people? Neighbors who steal from their neighbors are themselves inhabitants of their own ****hole.

We should use the left over mini nukes from 9/11 on Mexican drug cartels...

Thanks to drug dealers and corrupt politicians... you mean.

Nope, thanks to the public and their insatiable want for drugs and the morons who made it illegal.

That is completely within the realm of the evil that is the USA. No other evil entity has ever slaughtered hundreds of thousands of civilians with nuclear weapons. But hey, we're talking the usa, the world's biggest thieves, baby killers, terrorists, war criminals, ... .

You forgot to discuss how the USA stole a large portion of Mexico's land.

Totally justified in taking the land...

Thanks to the war on drugs.
How in the hell can you blame an entire country and failed economy on "The War on Drugs"? The mexican economy has industry, agriculture, mining, oil, enjoys lucrative manufacturing contracts with US business, and has a thriving tourism industry, to say nothing of the billions that are sent from the US into the mexican economy every year. They actually have a trade surplus. And yet...their country is a ****hole that people will risk their lives to leave. At some point, you have to look at their piece of **** government, piece of **** labor models, and their piece of **** leaders as 'the problem' and stop whining about other peoples problems. Or if they cant do that maybe they should just beg the US to annex them because obviously they are too inept to handle it themselves.

How cute...someone who doesn't know how to spell 'were'.

But we are in partial agreement, the US's history is no different than that of the Nazis. Save that the US hypocritically hung German war criminals for things the US has been doing right up to this day - the illegal attack on the sovereign nation of Syria, another US war crime which has Trump keeping US presidents' war criminal record intact.

Hooray for the good ole US of A!!!

I'm not about to help you with your own ignorance of history. Modern international law started after WWII. As I said, the US has been no different than the Nazis they hypocritically hung for doing things the US was already well practiced in doing.

I see that you have graduated from Emoticon College. Good work. A two year degree?

Oh I see...so you talk about the conquest of mejican lands...but NOW you want to use international law from WW2 as a standard...

:lamo

Yeah...I dont blame you. Because history makes your silly pathetic little hate scree look pretty ridiculous.

A punitive strike on a chemical lab and storage is a war crime?

According to whom?

I am blaming the violence due to the war on drugs. The Mexican economy is the 15th largest in the world. Is it perfect? Nope. But large scale disruptions and corruption is due to the massive amounts of money going to the cartels.
