April 13, 2018

CANCUN, Mexico -- A bloody 36 hours left 14 people dead and five injured in the popular tourist resort town of Cancun. The deaths and injuries were the result of of six separate incidents April 4 and 5 believed to be linked to organized crime, according to Noticaribe. Nine people were killed April 4, almost double the city’s previous record of five. In one incident, a “narco mantas” reading “go to Hell” was attached to the body of a woman who was found beaten and with a rope around her neck. The U.S. State Department issued a do-not-travel advisory for the Mexican states of Colima, Guerrero, Michoacán, Sinaloa and Tamaulipas because of increased crime in March. However, it did not include Quintana Roo, the state where Cancun is. There are 113 homicides in Cancun in 2018. There were 29,158 in Mexico, the country is on pace to beat that number this year. The spike in crime is due to cartels fighting for territory.

In addition, be aware that a vicious cartel war is occurring in the impoverished suburbs abutting the popular resort city of Acapulco.

These people sure have a lot a nerve lecturing America that our crime prevention methods dont measure up to their standards.

And people from the US ( and Europe to a lesser degree ) have a lot of nerve lecturing people around the world on the use of chemical weapons. People in glass houses and all

I made that very point earlier:

The violence in Mexico is directly attributable to the demand for drugs in the US. If not for the Americans, and the Europeans as well, Mexico would be an extremely peaceful country.

Does this have anything to do with the fact that Mexican violence is directly attributable to the USA?

We also buy crap made in China, a communist country, which means, we directly support, and have supported for years, the Chinese government.

That we want drugs does not cause gangs to make war with each other. Their GREED causes that. That we want drugs does not cause drug suppliers to decide it's better to go down shooting, than to lose some product, and do time in jail.

There are laundry lists of other black market goods that aren't plagued by violence, so, clearly, demand isn't the issue.

Lets make this simple, if we didnt demand drugs, there would be no drug cartels, no drug violence, and far less deaths. The profits are so enormous that greed prevails among the dealers.

But we didn't cause the greed.

Plenty of other in demand black market goods out there that aren't plagued by violence.

There are no other black market goods that are in such demand with massive profit margins.

Mexico was very violent before drugs ever entered the scene.

I bring up your same point each and every time people talk about "massive drug influxes".
I tell them there would be ZERO drug influxes if we would stop wanting them so badly.
The cartels are just supplying OUR demand for drugs of all kinds.

Really, can you back that up with a link?

Can you open a history book?
Mexico became its own country in 1824.
Count the revolutions and unabated violence since then.
Santa Anna was El Presidente' of Mexico 11 times after the Texas revolution due to other revolutions.
...and that was just in the Victorian era.

This is just one of many.

So it did not happen unless there is a link?
Internet people are funny.
