14 people killed in Cancun during bloody 36 hours

Can you open a history book?
Mexico became its own country in 1824.
Count the revolutions and unabated violence since then.
Santa Anna was El Presidente' of Mexico 11 times after the Texas revolution due to other revolutions.
...and that was just in the Victorian era.

This is just one of many.

So it did not happen unless there is a link?
Internet people are funny.

Up until the early 1990's violence in Mexico was no better or worse than in the US. In those years tourists could visit most any state or city without fear of major violence.

This is why i do not like to post links when someone asks for one.
They are IGNORED 100% of the time.
Posting links is a waste of time.

I said Mexico was a violent nation with a violent history BEFORE drugs entered the scene, and proved it with a link, you wanted me to provide..
You said, no they are not, and prove it with a link.
I proved it with a link.
You IGNORED the proof.

This is why posting links is a waste of time.
If it proves my point, all I get is ...waddabout _________________ (fill in the blank)
No acknowledgement i am right and proved my point. No way this happens on the internet.
No one ever admits they were wrong on the internet.
Wanna see the link?

I an done with this conversation.
If you refuse to listen, why should I continue to speak.

I personally dont care what happened in mexico 150-200 years ago, my point again was that without the most current drug violence, mexico would be a very safe country to visit, as it was prior to the 1990's.

I PROVED you wrong, and you can not admit it.
1968 was not 200 years ago, and neither were more recent points in the link YOU asked for, I provided, and YOU did not read and IGNORED because it proves you are 100% wrong in what you said.

The Chiapas uprising did not end until 1995.
If you had actually read the link you asked for, you would have known that.
but...it proved you wrong, so you IGNORED it.
...as predicted.

The system has a special place reserved for people like you who can't admit they are ever wrong, and feel they never make mistakes.
...and fortunately, i can send you there right now.
It is a blessing to never hear one more word from you for the rest of my life.
No one is prefect, and i do not like wasting my time with those that think they are.
Bye...

You can always point to limited areas of violence, but nothing that has come ever close to the almost nationwide epidemic of violence we have seen in the last 25 years.
Beginning as early as 1980, my wife and I traveled through that country yearly, and never did we encounter anything even close to the State Department warnings we now receive on a regular basis. Tourist areas such as Ixtapa, Zujatenajo, Acapulco, Cancun, Jautulco, Puerto Vallarta, Mexico City, Veracruz, Guadalajara were always a pleasure to visit.

In addition, be aware that a vicious cartel war is occurring in the impoverished suburbs abutting the popular resort city of Acapulco.

That's why Guerrero is on the list.

Acapulco is a ghost town these days.
