Mysterious Sonic Attacks in Cuba May Be Quite Logical

The National Review is not typically on my reading list. But I agree with their conclusion that the sonic attacks on US and Canadian diplomats is directed by the Cuban government of Raul Castro. Nothing happens on that island without the knowledge of the Cuban intelligence service and the murderous Castro regime.

I am not a big fan of "If we cant figure it out it must be XYZ".

Why would anyone attack a Sonic? They have good hot dogs.

Whoa, easy there- I heard you can get drunk from too much sonic shakes. ;)

Some people get crazy. I recommend a controlled environment.

I'm thinking that the Russians are up to no good again. I just don't think that the Cubans have the technical prowess to pull something like that off.

Whatever method is being utilized, some of the effects are profound and it seems permanent in about 25% of the cases...

Hearing loss
Nausea, Vertigo, Headaches, Ear-ringing
Concentration and memory problems
Brain swelling or “damage to the central nervous system”

I did initially consider such reports as possible CIA disinformation, but Canada has also reported similar attacks on its diplomats in Cuba.

They've attacked Canadian diplomats? That's odd. Canada and Canadians are pretty well-regarded in Cuba. I was there a few years ago and we were made to feel very welcome once our nationality was known.

An undisclosed number of Canadian consular officials and their families in Havana were also affected by mysterious attacks, but Ottawa has no plans to expel Cuban diplomats, a government official speaking on background said on Tuesday. Likewise, Canada is not considering pulling staff from Cuba, according to a Global Affairs Canada spokesperson.

I wonder what the intention is. On the part of the attackers, I mean.

Wanna go easy on those shakes though, especially the vanilla ones, don't wanna get breathalyzed.

People think they're brave when they're reckless. Multi shake incidents are the number one cause of Sonic attacks.

Oh dear, what a disgrace
A man in the gutter
With milk on his face.

You got milk on your face
You big disgrace
Somebody oughta make you space out your milkshakes!
