Palestinian shot in back says Israelis abused him for hours

HEBRON, West Bank (AP) — A young Palestinian man who was shot in the back by Israeli forces in an incident caught on video last year says the footage shows just a small part of what was a horrifying day for him.

Speaking to The Associated Press after the video emerged last week, Karam Qawasmi said he was run over by a military jeep, then beaten for several hours before troops released him, only to shoot him in the back with a painful sponge-tipped bullet as he walked away. He said Israeli investigators have never contacted him.

In 1947 the Jews told the Palestinians 'Not to worry.' See how that worked out. See Arab–Israeli conflict - Wikipedia

The whip rested easy in the hands of the Nazis. Now it rests easy in the hands of the Israelis. What goes around comes around.

This sort of thing is a common occurance for Palestinians. If it's not the IDF or Border Guards carrying out these sort of attacks it's the illegal settlers living in Palestinian territory with the protection of the Israeli military. The systematic abuse of the Palestinian people and the systematic violations of their rights by the state of Israel and it's agents are crimes on a mass scale that happen every single day and it's only when the situation ramps up another few notches due to this or that incident/action/reaction that people outside start to talk about who is commiting this or that crime.

Another Palestinian with an extremely vivid imagination.

Guy looked too clean and too "healthy" for having been run over by a jeep and beaten for hours .

The sponge-tipped bullet missed his ass by an inch.

.

1. Godwin

2. The Nazis used real bullets. By the hundreds of thousands. The Einzatsgruppen hunted down Jews in the occupied territories and shot them down enmass.

3. Note what is also stated in the article:

Police said in a statement that the woman was removed from duty as soon as the incident was discovered. It said she was sent back to the Israeli army, where she had been working. Other officers present at the scene were also removed or reassigned.

“This is a case that does not characterise in any way whatsoever the behaviour or operations,” the statement said.

Israel’s Haaretz newspaper reported on the woman’s arrest last year. At her bail hearing at Jerusalem magistrates court, the judge Elad Persky said the suspect apparently shot the Palestinian “as a dubious form of entertainment”.

Yeah... The IDF is just like the Nazis. (end sarcasm)

They arrested the shooter....

America has always ignored Israel's human rights violations. They will again. And again. And again.

They arrested the shooter....

You should familiarize yourself with the reality of what happens in the vast majority of cases such as these. Instead of cherry picking the Btselem site to misuse their work you should read up on what they think of the accountability/whitewashing of the crimes commited against the Palestinians by Israelis

Video Search | B'Tselem

It's also very noticeable that you had absolutely nothing to say about the everyday violations of millions of Palestinians at the hands of the state of Israel but never stop bemoaning the violations of the rights of Israelis by some Palestinians.

They arrested the shooter....

That's not what I read either

Have you proof for your claim that they were " arrested " ?

America has always ignored Israel's human rights violations. They will again. And again. And again.

There's a simple reason for that.................the US leaderships don't really care about HR's but they sometimes offer something of a boon in which to manufacture public consent/support for actions whose aims are nothing to do with the promotion/support of HR's

Did they or did they not arrest the shooter?

Try reading the article. The same on quoted in post #5. The same article also links to another article detailing the arrest.

Pro tip: Read for comprehension... Not simply for response.

Useful tip.

Did they or did they not arrest the shooter?

Not according to both the article in the OP nor in the one I cited . I didn't see/read any link to anything else in the OP either

So where did you read it ? Source?

btw from the OP

AP said:
In 2016, the Israeli human rights group B’Tselem stopped working with the Israeli military on such investigations, accusing it of whitewashing the cases.

Amit Gilutz, spokesman for the group, said it is common for alleged victims not be interviewed, and rarely are forces seriously punished.

“The only exceptional aspect of this incident is that it was filmed and published,” he said.

It's sickening the way you abuse the Btselem site and present the polar opposite of their view by cherrypicking them in n attempt to distort their position.

Why can't you even comment on ?

A The everyday mass human rights violations of millions of Palestinians

B The whitewashing of so many of these cases by the " investigating " Israeli officials/soldiers

There is no mention of any " arrest " of any Israelis involved so I suggest you cite it from the text or admit you have just made it up. Choice is yours.

An extract from the link provided.

Israel’s justice ministry said on Sunday that it had held four hearings into the case. It did not say when it would announce its decision on whether to file charges.

Why lie?

I sussed what happened and now understand my error

In post 5 you cite text NOT FROM the OP text that I am viewing which reads as follows....

The last part you allegedly quote from the OP isn't there in the article I am reading from but does appear the the Guardian article I linked further down BUT that's not the one you cited as the source seeing as it hadn't entered the debate until I introduced it..........quoted below

Israel’s Haaretz newspaper reported on the woman’s arrest last year. At her bail hearing at Jerusalem magistrates court, the judge Elad Persky said the suspect apparently shot the Palestinian “as a dubious form of entertainment”.

So , your charge that I am " lying " is not a true representation but is expected from the likes of yourself. It's simply just a quote that is not part of the AP article I am reading from .

You only posted about removing and reassigning, far cry from arresting.

What he appears to have done is taken material from a different article on a different cite ( the Guardian ) and said he got it from the article in the OP. When you search that and say it's not there he can then call you a liar , sad but true and about par for the course I'm afraid

I have asked him on many ocasions to cite the articles he is sourcing stuff from ,which he should have done anyway btw , only to be led these sorts of dance
