[W:56W:439]U.N. report on Gaza says Israeli forces may have committed war crimes

"Not enough dead Jews". Again with the mawkish appeal to emotions, drama and lies. Do you enjoy lying; does it make you feel better?

What lies?

You were the one asking if anyone died. And then you played the "disproportionate" card.

Oh, and "bottle rockets"? Where the hell did you get that from? That is one of the stupidest things you have said.

The Oslo Accords which Netanyahu cynically derailed and admitted to the fact on video? Those Oslo Accords? You're not very good at this.

So the Oslo accords helped create the Palestinian National Authority on land that was formerly occupied by Egypt and Jordan...

The operative is 'formerly'. The land Israel is currently occupying illegally is disputed territory, and Israel is acting illegally both by occupying it and by permitting Israeli citizens to settle there. There is no legal defence from Israel's side; none. The honourable (and entirely legal), thing to do is to withdraw and argue later.

Well, what else can one deduce but 'bottle rockets'? Anyone would assume from your melodramatic histrionics that they are hugely powerful, sophisticated weapons, engaged in killing Israelis in their thousands. They typically do very little damage to anything but patches of desert.

You are completely ignorant of Hamas's rockets.... Aren't you?

Lets take one.

Mass Qassam 3: 50 kg
Length Qassam 3: 220 cm
Diameter Qassam 3: 11.5 cm
Warhead weight Qassam 3: 20 kg
Range: Qassam 3: 16 km

Also present are military grade 122MM GRAD rockets.

27 Israeli civilian deaths in 10 years (2004-2014), from all rocket attacks. Obviously not that effective then, are they? In contrast should we examine the number of Palestinian dead?

Not enough dead Jews, eh?

Already explained why death counts are low. The Israelis care about their civilians therefore shelters are in place.

You are obviously ignorant of how much potential 20 kg of explosives has.

'Present' or in use? Big difference.

Your ignorance is astounding.

In use.

Example:

In 2010, Hamas carried out two rocket attacks on Israel from the Sinai Peninsula in Egypt. On April 22, three 122 mm Grad rockets were fired from the Sinai Peninsula at the Red Sea resort town of Eilat in the extreme south of Israel. The projectiles landed in the Red Sea and the neighboring town of Aqaba in Jordan, causing some property damage.[267] Again on August 2, six or seven Iranian-made 122 mm Grad rockets were fired from the Sinai Peninsula at Eilat. The rockets fell in Eilat, Aqaba, Egypt and the Red Sea. A rocket that landed in Aqaba killed a Jordanian civilian and wounded several. The investigation into the attacks involved cooperation between Israel, Egypt, Jordan and the Palestinian Authority. The attacks severely damaged relations between Hamas and Egypt, which viewed them as a challenge to its sovereignty

Hahaha! Yes, potential. You can say 'what if' all day long, but it won't get you very far.

20 kg of what kind of explosive? I need to check some calculations

It depends on what is available.

CORRECTION: The warhead is filled with smuggled or scavenged TNT and urea nitrate, another common fertilizer. This is similar to the civilian explosive ammonite.

So 20 kg of tnt? RDX?

The warhead is filled with smuggled or scavenged TNT and urea nitrate, another common fertilizer. This is similar to the civilian explosive ammonite.

ETA - In general, a 30 kilogram charge of ammonite is roughly equivalent to 20 kilograms of TNT. (Wiki)

Your ignorance of rocket artillery and its potential is noted.

Yes, potential. If that potential isn't realised (and it hasn't been, obviously), then what is your point? Nuclear weapons also have enormous potential. 'Potential' is another word for 'hypothetically speaking'.

Ok, but since what I am using to calculate this does not have that as a specific option, I inputed 20 kg of tnt as the warhead.

According to a u.n website that calculates the effects of different types of explosions, a 20 kg warhead of tnt would produce a explosion capable of killing anyone within 20 feet of the blast, damaging the lungs of anyone within 32 feet of it, and rupturing the eardrums of anyone within 80 feet of the blast radius.

Awesome. Thank you for the link.

Not quite a "bottle rocket" eh?
