Congressional Republicans and Democrats, who last year reaffirmed a 1995 law calling for the embassy in Tel Aviv to be relocated to Jerusalem, granted Donald Trump a victory lap by lauding his historic decision. The White House blamed the violence squarely on Gaza’s rulers Hamas.

Trump threw a match into Jerusalem with no plan to put out the fire

The killing of 52 Palestinians is the result of the US president’s folly in giving Netanyahu what he wanted.

he images coming out of the region today said it all. In one frame there is the Israeli president, Benjamin Netanyahu, looking like the cat who got the cream, sitting next to Ivanka Trump and her husband, Jared Kushner, at the opening of the new US embassy, which has just relocated to Jerusalem.

And in the second frame, there is Gaza, suffused in teargas smoke during protests in which 52 Palestinians were killed, and 1,200 wounded by Israeli fire. Perhaps reflecting on these images, the former US peace negotiator Martin Indyk bizarrely noted that the contrast was a “bittersweet moment”.

So you approve of what the Israelis are doing with taking over Palestinian land & creating ghettos in Palestine? I thought they swore that they could all live tofgether when Ben Gurion arrived on the scene.

this has nothing to do with religion- but land. palestinians dig tunnels into israel to slaughter israelis. they pack on suicide bombs, knife attacks, and fire rockets there.

the nazis would be proud of palestinians and their hatred for jews

Oh but of course just another in a very long line of posts trying how ever possible to complain about President Trump or his administration.

If the Palestinians would stop bum rushing the border with the intent to breech it they would be alive now. Israel has a right to protect their border and innocent citizens.

I find it quite strange that modern folk refuse to acknowledge the modern state of Israel was founded on the terrorists actions of the Irgun, the Haganah, the Lehi, the Palmach, and other TERRORIST groups.

israel is defending itself from animals that dig tunnels underneath the ground to slaughter jews. they fire rockets from hospitals. they throw firebombs over the fence.

You mean the same Israelies that punish the families of terrorists because they are related and demolish the families homes? Look there are no good sides to this. Can you imagine the outcry in America if the Houses of families of criminals were demolished here in America? Neither side can claim the moral high ground.

1. Why are they at the Israeli border and not the Egyptian border? Seems somewhat of an interesting choice that is almost by design to target Israel.

2. I've worked in this realm for well over a decade and it's common tactics to use civilians as shields in order to increase the death toll to garner more outrage and sympathy.

3. What options does Israel have than maintaining their border security? Hamas was democratically elected there.
 
This wasn't a "protest", it was an attempted invasion and Israel had every right to repel it.
