First, we withdrew entirely from the Gaza Strip in August 2005, removing every Israeli resident, home, factory and synagogue. We are not responsible for the well-being of the people of Gaza.

*snip*

Second, the restrictions that exist on Gaza are not the cause of the situation there but rather a result of Hamas’s refusal to renounce violence.

*snip*

Finally, the fence that was attacked over the last week separates a sovereign, democratic state and a murderous terrorist entity

It does seem, at times, that Israel is expected to act in a way other nations never would be. It is my belief Israel defense forces actually seek to minimize casualties, unlike those that violently oppose Israel, who not only want to maximize casualties and not just Israelis but also Palestinians for propaganda purposes.

If Israel would treat the people of Gaza like people, then you might have a point.

I’m sure this’ll be a decent “likes” getter but it really adds nothing.

Oh really? Exactly how would you feel if you were forced to live in a city the size of Rockwall County your whole life? And you had no ability to participate in the electoral process, or travel outside of Rockwall County, or hell, even go fishing without severe restrictions? Because obviously you might use Lake Ray Hubbard to try to sneak off to Dallas, and we can't have that.

Obviously that last sentence was snark, but that is what the citizens of Gaza have to deal with every damn day. No wonder it is such a hotbed for radicalism.

Israel’s security measures are a result of the radicalism (you justify), not the cause.

So every single individual in Gaza should have their freedoms taken away because of a tiny minority of people who behave badly?

Gaza is little more than an open air prison and the Israelis control everything that goes in or out...including the people. So to say the Israelis aren't responsible for the well being of the people in Gaza is the biggest lie ever conceived short of holocaust denial.

“Behave badly”? Yeah, that’s just what terrorism and murder is, bad bahavior. Even if you don’t give a **** about Israelis, that bad behavior that you minimize ends up harming those you support without question.

Dodging my question just like I thought you would. Why do you want to punish the entire group of Gazans because of the bad behavior of a tiny minority?

I disagree it’s a “tiny minority”. I disagree it’s punishment. That tiny minority and those that aid/support them is causing harm to the people you supposedly support.

I disagree it’s a “tiny minority”.

Then you're wrong. Unless you believe that nearly every Gazan is a literal terrorist. The way you've been talking, I honestly cannot tell?

I disagree it’s punishment.

Either you have zero empathy for innocent Gazans or you have absolutely no clue what it's like to live without liberties. Maybe you should try walking a mile in the Gazans' shoes before making ignorant comments such as those.

That tiny minority and those that aid/support them is causing harm to the people you supposedly support.

Oh now you agree that it's a tiny minority! Which is it, X? Are the terrorists a tiny minority or are they not? Make up your mind already!
