Except it is undoubtedly not a war crime and your "analysis" based on nothing more than casualty figures from Hamas, isn't worth much.

Incidentally, I for one am really looking forward to your posts in a few weeks time about the "humanitarian crisis" in Gaza and how it is all Israel's fault even though the Gazans attacked and sacked their own supply lines.
 
Look, I get it that the anti-Israel folks here want to see the Palestinians breach the fence and swarm into Israel to kill and pillage, and that anything and everything Israel does to stop this is a "war crime" "unjustified" "disproportionate" or whatever, but it is all just blind hatred and nonsense. From what I can see none of you (other than an exception or two who have not been participating) actually give a damn about the Palestinians or what is best for them. You hate Israel, you hate the "injustice" that is Israel's existence, and you hate everything Israel does to maintain that existence.

This is a massive assault on the border with hundreds of Hamas fighters ready to burst in and start killing people. There are bombings and shootings and explosives and firebombs and kites burning Israeli fields.

It is a warzone, populated by Palestinian human shields and disposable pawns because those are the tools Hamas has now decided to use. And the consequences of it are entirely on them, since the entire purpose of this "protest" is illegitimate and frankly genocidal.

So forgive me, but these crocodile tears for the Palestinians don't mean much, since they are really just tears at the Jews' successes in defending themselves from aggression.

I'm sure that if enough pressure is brought to bear Israel will investigate the actions of it's own. Tell the world it is doing so. Claim to be the most moral people in the history of humanity for doing so. Take ages to conduct it so people move on and forget it ( here at least ) and then stop some soldiers pocket money for the week.

They did it with Cast Lead ,two soldiers I think got done. One for use of a stolen credit card and one for use of a Palestinian as a human shield , 3 months suspended IIRC

The Israelis have got everyone cowering these days especially in the HR area.

What's with this powerful Jewish lobby? Jews have as much right to lobby pols and government officials as anyone else. The difference is that when they do this is portrayed as something nefarious. I do not find it in the least blameworthy to call for support the only civilised democracy in the Near East, surrounded by enemies seeking the destruction o the state and its people.

The US is a democracy: Only a minor proportion of it's sovereign electorate is Jewish.

I was referring specifically to the red line that Goldstone crossed and had to be punished for.

There has been a marked reduction in the volume of Human Rights reports since Cast Lead and the red line is not being crossed by them

Over 2200 Palestinians wounded generally. No injuries nor fatalities at all reported to the Israeli forces along the frontier. Israel launching more air strikes into Gaza.

Again, the Palestinians’ tactics for breaching the border appear to have failed miserably.

Which is good news, of course, but unfortunate that Hamas had so many sacrifice their lives for nothing.

Hopefully all those seeing this will try to put pressure on Hamas to stop pushing people to try to breach the border.

He also explained Hamas instructs women and children to move closest to the fence under the pretense that the IDF does not shoot women and children.

two truckloads of medical aid provided by the IDF were turned away when the origin of the equipment became apparent.

In addition to 53 tons of medical equipment set to be transported into Gaza this week via the crossing, the increased Israeli aid included more than 14,000 units of intravenous infusions, 40 medical basins, 20 medical examination couches, 25 infusion stands, 85,000 disinfectant pads and 12,500 bandages.



So to sum up, all of this was orchestrated by Hamas to use human shields to cover attacks and divert from internal anger at Hamas, the vast majority of people killed were theirs (and additional ones were PIJ), and Hamas has also rejected medical supplies even though their human shields really need them (I doubt Hamas fighters are going without).

And yet the propagandists in the international media and on social media forum do everything they can to run obstruction for them and fight to advance their propaganda against Israel. It is truly and utterly despicable.

The video exists but what is its provenance? Is it real, modified or fake? Is the translation correct? You say it "is not inaccurate". Are you able to understand and translate Arabic dialects well enough to make that claim? I am certainly not. Is Dr. Bardawil telling the truth? Are he and the media organisation which recorded the interview reliable sources? You can find people and organisations of all sorts and types making absurd and false claims all over the internet. Why believe Dr. Bardawil now, when in 2015 he made such absurd and untruthful pronouncements about Jews which were clearly false, and which were also reported and archived by the MEMRI organisation?

So there is no wilfull blindness nor a denial of reality going on on my part, just healthy skepticism. When other sources which are more trustworthy confirm and support or refute the Bardawil/MEMRI/IDF claims then I will listen. But until then my gut feeling and instinct is that this smacks of propaganda and media manipulation by the IDF or other arms of the Israeli State in order to muddy the waters and shift blame from those who spotted for, ordered and pulled the triggers on Monday to those who were killed and wounded.

This whole Gaza-Israel frontier affair is awash in misinformation and falsehoods being spun from both sides. The wee Palestinian child of eight or nine months age named Laila who allegedly died also raises my suspicions of manipulation by Gazan authorities as certain aspects of the state of her health before the protests and her death don't add up to me. Like with your claims, I will reserve judgement about Laila's death until more is known and wiser people have thoroughly investigated and vetted such claims from both sides.

Being for the truth, whatever that turns out to be is not being anti-Israeli nor anti-Semetic. It is just being cautious and rational in sorting through an irrational clash of two tribes of Semetic folk killing each other over land they both have claims to.

So until you deem it acceptable to take hamas’ admission of their 50 and the 3 from PIJ you assume they are all civilians? Right. Totally unbiased.

Meanwhile there was an admission from them that the kid had a pre existing condition and also wasn’t killed by the Israelis as first claimed. A bad day for the propaganda side you pretend to not be on, but keep grasping I guess.

It was what jumped out at me when those figures were given which was just before I went to bed.

I think Evilroddy's comments about the validity of this mans claims and the site it hails from should be viewed with skepticism until a more in depth investigation or investigations have been completed.

About 100 wounded, ten by live fire and thankfully no deaths reported by the Gazan Palestinian Authority so far after today's protest on the Gaza-Israeli frontier. Let's hope these numbers drop even lower in the future.
