What are the reasons for the seemingly polarizing attitudes on Israel by the United States. There is little if any middle ground. Much like our own internal politics, but this is a thread about Israel. Why the love? Why the hate?

The silence on this thread speaks volumes about the depth and strength of such ties. It seems no one here is willing to discuss them in the country which claims to champion free speech and open public discourse. I too will remain mute on the topic. Bravo America!
