Nikki Haley about the Middle East![W:4]

She is answering questions about the Middle East. First she says the American People wanted the administration to move our Embassy to Jerusalem. I don't know abut you,but i wanted peace in the Middle East and I can tell you that moving our embassy to Jerusalem is not the way to get the peace process started. It did start a war of sorts in the area, and I guess that is what many cons anted. Why you ask, so they could once again blame the Arabs in that part of the world for the problems and allow the Israeli's to continue to steal more land from their neighbors to build more settlements. It also allows the Trumpsters and their partners to blame the Palestinians for lack of progress in the peace process, which Ms. Haley did, saying that if the Palestinians did not come to the peace table now, then what happened was their fault. Kind of like blaming the Native Americans for making us take their lands because they would not give them up when told to.

I hadn’t thought about it in some time. At the time I had thought it was a tolerable idea to decide to move the embassy, but was happy to let it be be delayed, if the grounds were strong enough. The grounds were fine: Peace talks. Over and over. It was tried. It didn’t work.

The Palestinians are reaping the "reward" of generations of military ineptitude and diplomatic incompetence. Had they had the wit and courage to go forward with the Oslo process they would not be in their present corner. History eventually penalizes stupidity.

The late Abba Eban, longtime Israeli Foreign Minister, said it best: "The Palestinians never missed an opportunity to miss an opportunity."
