Trump is seen by many as anti-Muslim. Now he seems too be siding with Israel when it comes to filling the West Bank and Jerusalum with Jewish settlements. Will both of these make us more of a target for ISIS and their like?

Did you mean more of a target than we were under any prior President?

No, I don't think Trump's "stirring the pot" will make much difference except in the minds of the Alt-Left who are looking for any reason to continue to demonize him.

We have been a growing target of ire from the Middle East from the time we began to support Israel back in the 1950's.

People seem to forget all the airline hijacking and other terrorist attacks that occurred prior to 9/11.

It only got worse after the fiasco of our support for the Shah of Iran. We became solidified as the "Great Satan" when we substituted the loss of the Shah with support for Saddam Hussein.

Yeah, that same dictator who we later had to invade the Middle East to oppose in Iraq 1, and again in Iraq 2. Needless to say our policies have not endeared us to citizens in that segment of the world.

About the only thing that would STOP us being a target would be to embrace Islam as our national religion and become a Moslem Theocracy. Even then, we'd still be subject to the same political differences and don't forget the internal religious conflict depending on declaring one a Sunni or Shiite.

No matter what we do or who is in charge, we will be negotiating a minefield of our own devising.

It won't be bad for the USA, but it will be bad for Israel.

Trump is going down, and taking anyone who has tied themselves to him, with him.

Probably not. ISIS would already be here creating mayhem if they could be here. Most of these people are incapable of reaching our shores so they try to indoctrinate the weak-minded from afar.

As for the settlements, it is hard to know what Trump really thinks. Time will tell. In the end, however, it doesn't matter what the US President thinks. Israel will do what it is willing to do, the US will never even cut off aid, let alone intervene against Israel.
